Not really sure what it would be for normal interactions, but here's a funny story: I make chainmaille (like the knightly armor stuff) so I was in the mall with my arms wrapped in some pretty sick looking bracelets chains. Anyhow, the female clerk (about my age) behind the counter at the record shop thought that meant I was some sort of dominant S/M dude, and was all desperate about it. Many chuckles were had later with my friend who was present.
