Honestly, it's bothering me. Sober me can't even think of a good topic to get a good conversation going, but when I'm either drunk, buzzed, tipsy, whatever, I'm automagically a -blam!-ing social sensation. I have a feeling if I put my efforts towards women it'd be like this.
Sober:
Me: Hey, how are you?
Woman: Ew.
Drunk:
Me: sup bb u wan sum fuk
Woman: uhn put it in my butt
Baffling. Here's my theory- alcohol is either the key to our social side, or it either numbs up all that social anxiety and throws you into the crowd, letting pure drunk instinct handle it all. Based off this conclusion, I'm becoming an alcoholic. The liver failure will be worth it. Who's with me?

I feel inclined to agree with what's been said here, that expectations of etiquette and the like seem hardly worth considering, with the added observation that if we do better without these things than we do with, it's a wonder why we have them at all. Maybe we're just poor at socializing.
