I downloaded a large video file and for whatever reason the person put the video on a .iso and then put that .iso into 54 different winrar files. I have seen this kind of thing before, normally I just extract the file and it goes through each of the winrar files one by one until I get the .iso in the end. But this time half of the files are not working. They are all labeled with .r1 through .r53 at the end of the file name but half of them are different. When I go into the properties of the files that DO work under file type it says "WinRAR archive (.r27)" and it recognizes that it opens with the program "winrar archiver". But on the files that DON'T work the file type says "R34 File (.r34)" and it thinks it opens with some obscure program.
I tried adding a ".rar" to the end of it. that made it so that the file was recognized as a winrar archiver file, and it allowed me to see that the .iso is inside the thing but the file type in the properties was "WinRAR archive (.rar)" and it did not work when I tried to do the extraction of all the files.
Whenever I try to fix the problem in winrar itself I get an error that says I can't "modify the volume"
Any ideas?
