The point was raised in HM Rob's thread, in a strange manner that didn't work so well.
So here's a direct question for the atheists of Secular Sevens; what would it take for you to become a Christian?

I will as soon as god eliminates school.

Edited by Dante Trixter: 11/10/2014 6:31:45 PMFor God to come down. Personally tell us what the rules are and make it to where there is a book that no one can twist and turn it to suite their needs that everyone can read (and everyone has the ability to read it at any time). Smite the people who claim they are following him but are making a quick buck. Get rid of the not questioning God rule. He made us curious, that's his fault and if we ask a question give us a direct answer. No vague answers.
im already one so leave
Nothing.

Nothing , don't believe in the abuse of children.

It took me asking God a question. I spent nearly a year afterward contemplating religions and beliefs afterward, but it started with that. It takes being open to the idea of faith, and then searching for the answer yourself. Believing that there might be answers to the questions you once believed disproved religions. I am not Christian, but I am no longer an atheist. Seemed relevant enough.

Think Christiany or Religion even needs to dumbed down for the masses (as if it isn't dumbed down enough -_-) God is big, Moses parted water etc.etc. is how they used to get the dumb plebs to follow there belief system, now every half-wit needs an explanation to even have a belief system. Take your pick ever religions different, Christians got nice beliefs but at the core of them all is the recognition that the Human mind is just a monkey brain with an extra big frontal lobe, half of its managing that, its tryed and tested stuff IT WORKS, it gives physcology a run for its money. Think about that.. physcology has a half-life of about 3years till everything they kno has been proven wrong, other people have followed a book that hasnt changed for thousands of years and its stopped them for being depressed/lieing/beating there wifes for thousands of years (well atleast if they've followed it properly) the other half does draw on physcology that Belief is the CORE of your personality, it effects your judgement and attitude, thats were all religions differ (coz we just believe it? Mmmk) So take your pick, some people dont even have a core, it might be beliefs rubbed off on u as a child from your parents that the worlds a happy place, who knows, make it up as you go along if u will, theres no way in your life-time ull ever get to experience all the life lesson that religion will teach u, but all the answers are plain as day already there for u

For the bible to be rewritten, include major scientific advancements, and predict the next 3 presidential elections correctly. That or have North Korea suddenly disappear into the ocean leaving the words "Christianity is True" in islands where North Korea is now. You know, either one.

If i were to see something from the Bible come true, i'd become Christian.

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones." I know that this isn't from Marcus Aurelius, but I agree with the sentiment behind it. If God gets pissed at me for not believing in him, something that I either could not prove or have proven to me, then I wouldn't want have to believed in him anyway.

I went from atheist to agnostic, but it would take a literal act of God for me to believe.

At least $100,000.

Was born Catholic, now am Muslim. If you read there are actually countless scientific explanations of things in the Quran. Albeit Science alone is not the main reason for me, but for a lot of people it is.

Atheists still believe in a God. Believe it or not. <-- Pun.

Edited by Antisocial User: 11/9/2014 6:31:22 AMAtheism just means that someone doesn't doesn't believe, all you can really do is teach them about your religion. It doesn't really take anything, it's up to them.

If God would be proven to be real. But would it still be Christianity then if it's real?
-
Nothing, even if a Christian god did exist.
