I think people have misinterpreted me here, I should have made it more clear that the above quote was not my own and I only partially agree with it (and the source as a whole). I have no persecution complex; Christians are in the majority in the US, and yes, they are often aggressively oppressive against issues like gay rights. That said, the [i]very moment[/i] that you say this attack would be [i]in any way[/i] more justifiable than an equivalent attack with the roles reversed, you have debased yourself to the level of the Christian fundamentalists.

Why isn't the attention being applied fairly? Because the situation isn't fair. Christians are currently in power and don't suffer from oppression from the majority. In fact, they are the majority and have been doing, and still are doing, a fair bit of oppression even as we speak.
