As someone who wants to join the automotive industry I'm always thinking about cars and occasionally a new idea pops up for one.
Just curious if anyone wanted to hear them.
Also curious if anyone also has similar thought process?

I'm always designing cars in my spare time.

Other than more efficient engines and less pollution I think cars should stay exactly the same. I don't want hover/flying cars.

Edited by GHOST270: 5/8/2013 5:34:28 AMMy only plan for current cars is keeping the manual transmission from going extinct. I have my own plans to build a street-legal(ish) Quad with a stretched frame to house a litrebike engine. Keep all the gearing the same, except I need to beef up some of the internals along with changing the final drive ratio to better suit a quad versus a street bike. Street wheels and rubber all the way around. I'd like to have it AWD, but that may be too complex for me ATM. Sad thing is that building your own car and getting it certified for road use is a PITA. technichally quads aren't legal to ride on pavement around here, and since it's not a trike or a motorcycle per-se, you'd need to get it classified as a car to make it street legal. That's the PITA part.

I have day dreams all the time where I invent my own cars. One I idea I had was a hot hatch for 15k US. It would feature a nice rev-happy engine producing around 160-180hp. It would have power windows, and locks but to save money they all would be located on the center console. The car would all about feel, and be a blast to drive and only come in manual trans mission.I have more if you want to hear them.
