When I was about 9, I wanted to watch Harry Potter but my grandmother wouldn't let me, when I asked her why she said that it was because it had talking snakes in it which meant it was honoring the devil. Unfortunately for my grandmother my young mind interpreted this as saying "You have to choose between religion and snakes." As a looked at a framed picture of Jesus later that day, I suddenly thought to myself; 'Do you know what's cooler than some dead guy? Snakes.'
So what was your first revelation? When did you first think "Hey, I'm a(n) ______."

Born and being raised a Catholic. I've had a bit of a shock value come middle school a few years ago, and I hadn't been to church for middle school. Come freshman year and I started to go back to church and since then I've had a lot of epiphanies about life. Sure there are some assholes who are like "lol flying spaghetti monster have fun with ur imaginary frnd" but there are also religious people who can do the same thing. I personally believe that you shouldn't hate something/someone just because they're different, you keep to your business and them theirs. I am a Catholic, but I have my own spin on it as well.
