North Korea says it has ordered artillery and rocket units into "combat posture" to prepare to target US bases in Hawaii, Guam and the US mainland.
The announcement, carried by KCNA news agency, follows days of strong rhetoric from Pyongyang.
Sound's fun, I'll get my army men set up ready to fight.
-
'combat posture'?
-
DON'T ATTACK NORTH KOREA...lemme grab some popcorn first.
-
LOL NK. They are totally BSing the world; what a worthless government.
-
They have only enough fuel for 30 days of war. How do they expect to win?
-
Combat posture...is that like the first pose of gangam style?? Or when you put the fusion earnings on FUUUU----SHENNNN----HAAAA!
-
North Korea is just an awesome example of the tighter you squeeze, the less you have. Western nations and their allies impose sanctions, hold military drills, and pretty much threaten North Korea in every way. I'm not surprised they're pissed off, flexing their malnourished muscles. The free world squeezes, and the tyrants slip away into radicalism, like a wild, cornered animal. It won't solve anything, and it won't end well. With 'wild animals', like North Korea, you have to play nice and lure them into the fold. Domesticate them. Use the carrot, instead of the stick (bow chicka bow wow). At least, that's what I think
-
Sadly there's no good way to resolve this conflict that does not end in death and greater suffering. Even if the Kim family dynasty finally collaspes under sanctions, you are potentially looking mass chaos and an internal power stuggle, which coud also lead to many deaths. I know I would like to see this conflict resolved, if necessary by force, but let us not forgot how easy it can be to idealize war. If it comes to conflict, all sides will feel tremendous loss both economically and in human life.
-
What do you think will happen after the conflict? A united Korea maybe?

Edited by Winters Darkseid: 3/27/2013 5:22:34 AMIf conflict occurs, here are my predictions (Go ahead and say your own if they differ): The "war" will last between 1-2 months The South Koreans will have significant losses, particularly due to NK artillery bombardment on Seoul. I estimate 1-2 million dead from the strikes before U.S/SK Forces mobilize and/or evac Seoul Air dominance+Guided Munitions= Alot of dead Northern soldiers Also, A10's, A10's everywher- BRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTT I suspect a treaty will be met at the death of Kim-Jung Un, and SK and NK to (hopefully) finally -blam!-ing unite, like they always should have. It'll be nice, having one less crazy piece of shit on this planet. Thoughts, gentlemen?
-
In a sad way I hope they do attack. So they can be squashed into the dirt.
-
Half of NK will probably going to turned into a parking lot by some of those nukes laying around from the Cold War, the other half will be made into a mini mall.
-
Edited by Fekron: 3/30/2013 7:19:58 PMIt'll be nine erreven times...two thousand three hundred and fifty six.
-
I really hope NK starts something, I want to watch the world wipe them off the face of the earth.
-
Edited by Sapid: 3/29/2013 6:02:51 PMNorth Korea just gets worse and worse, they do this stuff all the time, but everyone sits there and watches because they do not see them as a threat. The problem is NK is a big time bomb, and the more we sit the bigger it gets. Yeah, North Korea can't win a war against South Korea, but as time passes the amount of innocents they will kill in a war increases. God only knows what happens when they finally get their hands on nuclear weapons, it will be a staring contest for the next 100 years. Just get it over with and do something.
-
Good luck, chinamen.
-
God NK needs to pull its head out of its ass and realize it's them versus the world, then give up.
-
I would think they are mostly saber-rattling right now. I doubt they would get into a war.
-
This could end with alot of North Korea innocents being killed.
-
just send a loaded C-130 to the White House and hold the president hostage -_- But seriously, they're all talk. Nothing is gonna happen.
-
-
Don't worry, I've got all my G.I. Joe action figures posed properly behind mini-sandbag fortresses. We're ready.
-
God damn just nuke them already.
-
Edited by Crazy Llama: 3/28/2013 1:26:15 AMIt's North Korea, odds are nothing will happen. Even if they were crazy enough to launch an attack, I feel it wouldn't end well for them.

If there is a war, Dennis Rodman could help with negotiations. inb4Rodmannobelpeaceprize

Going to be just like the original Korean War, except, without Chinese support of NK, and the US and SK having 50+ more years of advancement in military technology, NK tech probably hasn't gotten much better, if not, worse. I believe this is referred to as a "curb-stomp battle"
-
We're getting ready to go to Korea. My last night on here for a long time.
