Destiny not coming in 2013 (speculation)
So I don't know how, but I found [url=http://www.examiner.com/article/modern-warfare-4-impact-on-the-release-date-of-destiny-revealed]this[/url]
It says that Destiny and the next CoD (MW4?) will be launched at different times. Since MW4 is going to come out in November 2013 probably, we won't see Destiny until 2014.
Thoughts?

And I'm sorry but competition is a good thing, and it's the holidays. There will be no shortage of video games bought during those two months simply because they're "both shooters".

That's completely good business practice on the part of Activision. Why risk taking sales away from an established juggernaut or losing sales on a project you're investing so heavily in? At least this way Destiny gets some extra time to polish. Plus, it's basically guaranteed that they won't wait until the next holiday, since Call of Duty is annualized. That means we're sure to get Destiny in a slower part of the year when there are fewer big games to draw the attention of players.

I got a thread about this up in off topic. There are plenty of articles talking about this blasphemy. If they push it back because of CoD, someone is going to die.

We also have to remember if a new COD is coming out every year when will bungie release Destiny a couple months before or a couple months after either way it will be some what close to the release of a COD this could mean they will just release when they feel ready to

I heard recent news it would be released very start of october could this be far enough away to say that they are launched at different times? I also heard that the release would be pushed back to fall 2014 but its all geussing intill bungie announces a real release date

Edited by Batch: 2/23/2013 2:27:36 AMFine with me, I've already heard news earlier on Activision saying Destiny won't be out in 2013. That gives Bungie time to perfect the game, and make sure it works well on every system it will be released on. Personally I think Activision are being safe with how they do business with Bungie.
