Title for Reference. Hear that? Of course you do. Its everyone shouting at once what is wrong and needs fixing here. We are never going to be fully heard and our objectives realized if we dont organize and structure all this into a cohesive battlecry which will even shake Bungie. Now it is clear there are those of you who say "Give it time" or "lrn2adpt" or "You guys are afraid of change", while patience is a virtue, why do we have to change? Bungie.net was near aesthetic perfection. This new layout? Not even close. Now Im not saying everything is bad because that would be a lie. There are great features that have been included that many of us have been wanting for a while, but on the otherhand there are additions that are, IMO, not needed. B.net has been, for many of us, a secound home. An all too familiar space where we could have a laugh or vent or discover. After nearly 5 years on here myself, and others with much more, we hate to see what is beloved by us be changed in such a way. Elements removed and bits of history forgotten. Is this really what we want from the future? Forget completly about the past? I know this a new era for Bungie and us but it cant be done so harshly. We need to do something about it. We need to band together, UNITE, for the glory of our forms and have a saying in what will become of the future Bungie.net. As we are as important to this place as Bungie is creating it. We fill this place with life giving it purpose and we must have a say. But as I said it must be cohesive, structured for our outcry to be heard. Now is a list of things I have heard that should stay or go from this overhall: - Remove all the white. Too hard on the eyes and stops you from spending hours on here. - Return to old post and quote method, new posts go to the bottom. - Bring back pages of 25 posts. - Keep the new way to type italic, bold, link, spoiler etc etc etc. - Keep being able to post images. - Titles MUST return. - Avatars need to be bigger as well as font size. - Hashtags do not and can not replace entire forums. Period. Return to old forum setup. - Hashtags should be used as a way to find a specific subject within a forum. Think of it as a revamped searchbar. - Keep all pinned and saved topics including those from private groups. - Keep private groups bar. - Keep notifications. - Keep ability to change names. - Private groups need mods, not only admins. - Keep new group themes and avatars. - Bring back group history. - Keep banned members banned in private groups. - Bring back private group titles - Work with coup users to bolsten it. - Eliminate Like/Dislike - Keep following members and groups Thats all I can think of right now. Please if there is anything missing feel free to post it and if agreed upon it shall be added to the list. Please guys. This is our chance of being more effectively heard and getting what we would like from this change. Ill have this proposal under #TAKEBUNGIE.NETBACK2013.
