This isn't a social media website.
Please note that this is solely my opinion:
This site has completely changed, and not for the better.
Replacing dedicated forums with hash tags is a horrible idea. Making groups public is a bad idea. Getting rid of titles is a terrible idea as well, and the list goes on from there.
If I wanted to go on a Social Media website, I have my phone for that.
Bungie.net is not Facebook or Twitter, it's a gaming website for gamers.

1 ReplyBut it IS a social website. This site now functions a lot more like your real life social interactions. Instead of being forced to read/hear whoever is shouting the loudest and the most, you get to choose who you hang out with, who you listen to, and what topics you want to talk about. And if you want to expand your horizons, you're always free to drink from the firehose of the main forum feed. Personally, I think it's a great system thus far -- clearly not without its kinks, but I'm enjoying it.
