Some times I contemplate this. Not sure why.
For the point of ease, lets say they are CoD and BF3 players. 30 of them or so
I wonder how they would cope, would they adjust their play style? Would they be able to adapt to firefights at 200 to 300 meters rather than point blank?
Would they be able to coordinate and overcome even a Small ArmA II team of say 6 people?
FPS games get two up armored HMMWVs plus their choice of weapons at their base and an AH-6 Littlebird for CAS piloted by AI because flying is not an easy thing to do for even some veterans to ArmA II.
ArmA II players play as Guerillas. No Night Vision, AKs, RPKs and RPG-7s, maybe even a PKM gunner.
It could be a good way of seeing how fast FPS gamers can adapt to a new setting to new rules and to a new play style.
ArmA II isn't for everyone, especially when ACE mod is running. When you get hit you not only lose the ability to aim properly, but you also suffer from blood loss and pain from the wound. The pain will make you pass out eventually, and blood loss will kill you.
Do you think the FPS gamers will adapt, coordinate and neutralize the veteran ArmA II players? I'd love to see this experiment done some day.
Also, I host frequent ArmA II servers, so if anyone is ever interested in some ACE gameplay, you are more then welcome to tag along. Next game night is tomorrow.

Im assuming this would be like putting 30 people with little to none military training against Seal Team 6
