Normally this wouldn't be a problem in like, Vanguard Ops, but this modifier just doesn't feel good in stuff like Liminality GM. This strike was already hard, but that modifier makes it nearly impossible. Having to jump forward to use a Shotgun/SMG against Barrier Knights hammering you on the other side of a long corridor on narrow platforms feels AWFUL. Wanna use another weapon? TOO BAD! The damage of any other weapon is reduced!
So I either run forward with a shotgun to work on the modifier and die, or sit back and spend an hour trying to plink plonk a single Barrier Knight to death. Great work, Bungo!

To be fair, this modifier as well as the "hungry worm" modifier can work in our advantage....

Edited by WifeAggro_AFK: 11/29/2024 3:32:45 PMI had the most fun ever in Liminality yesterday with this modifier. I was critting the boss with my slug shotgun for 150k with max recom stacks; absolutely murdered any majors in 2 shots through their shields and champs took 3 shots with no stacks.

Running a shotgun with a x3 damage stack, I was shooting down stunned champions in about 3 hits and 1-2 shooting most majors. When you play into it, your weapons do some pretty extreme damage. I still agree the modifier is less than desirable because it's EXTREMELY limiting on what you can shoot with. I also ran an SMG with kinetic tremors and Polaris Lance last night several times and it was pretty good. Just rotate your weapon every 1-2 clips and you'll melt anything. There is different issue with oscillation that I would like to mention though. It overwhelmingly weighs in favor of titans who can shotgun/consecration slam through literally everything. I'm sure if Bungie pulled the stats they'd see that Warlocks and Hunters are significantly trailing behind in overall success results this week by comparison.

Try Polaris Lance. Works for both barrier and unstop and ignitions still do a ton of damage no matter the modifier. Gotta agree it's a crap modifier tho.

I feel like a lot of people forgot that revision zero has intrinsic barrier. It's honestly not a bad weapon if you use the two burst version. You can pair it up with a rocket sidearm or the new void gL from Vespers. The champion mods this season are terrible, but this load out has been working for me just fine.

Edited by nonchalantone: 11/28/2024 4:31:12 AMThere are a LOT of comments and complaints about it? Da fuc? 😂
Oscillation is a terrible modifier, and everyone is complaining about it.
There you go, all fixed for you

If you look two threads down on the trending board there’s a complaint. Just saying

So Wishender and Arbalest are a no go?

Hate it …. Skipping this week as a result

glad i made this gm 2 weeks ago.

I think it's bugged. While running this week's GM, I noticed that abilities seemed to do way less damage. Which made me think that while active it also unintentionally effects abilities in addition to non matching weapons.
