Ima keep bailing on teams when the matchmaking is lopsided. Finally just said screw it. The suspension is better than playing that game for 10 minutes.
Here’s a simple solution bungie…solves all your issues.
1. Remove duo que (stop splitting the player populations. You do not have enough players in your game for this)
2. Implement a snake draft. Best player available goes to opposite teams. (Stop putting two .5 kd players on the team of a 2kd player only to put three 1.7s on the other team.)
3. Remove your algorithm that attempts to force players into a 50/50 win loss.
I don’t think this is a tough ask here. It’s literally a simple fix for you, and it improves the quality of the game for all players.
Until then….yeah, sorry little bots, but ima bail when you’re on my team in a lopsided game.

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 11/25/2024 2:09:49 PMI’ve said it a thousand times and I’ll say it again: We need a concede option!!!!! If you are in hopeless match, you open your ghost and hold the button for “vote to conceed” same way you would return to orbit. A message gets displayed on your teammate’s screens saying “a Teammate has voted to conceed victory”. If and when the other teammates do the same then the match ends immediately, the other team gets the win and no quitting penalties are awarded. This would save everyone a lot of time and foil the stat farmers. Number of conceded matches would be a great metric for Bungie to evaluate their matchmaking algorithm.

Braid dead attitude. Should be permabanned.

Quitters suck, period.

Edited by nonchalantone: 11/25/2024 3:09:50 AM"Here's a simpler solution bucko, solves all your issues"..... STOP BACKING OUT! Or get your OWN Fireteam? How do you and others think it's possibly fair to just bail on your team, because they don't do what you deem them to? Or act like you want?

I am going to assume you are talking about the Competitive playlist, because the Competitive playlist is the only one that uses SBMM (RBMM) and Lobby Balancing. 1. Removing Duo-queue is an option. I personally dislike this, as it forces me to find a third when I only have a single friend online. However, this would probably speed up matchmaking times and reduce the likelihood of matching stacks vs. solos. 2. I believe they already use a Snake Draft. See the recent TWABs for more info on how it works. However, Bungie is not using K/D to split up teams- they use the "Skill" parameter that only Bungie knows and tracks. 3. The point of SBMM and Lobby Balancing is to create games where each team is balanced and all players have approximately the same skill level. This type of system causes most players to sit at around a 50% win rate. That is simple statistics and not Bungie "forcing" you to lose. If you lose a game with even teams, that is on you, not Bungie. Obviously, not all of Bungie's systems work perfectly because it is impossible to balance teams perfectly. Lopsided games do happen, but they are less common with the systems that are in place now. If you want control over your teammates, then you know what to do. Go make a Fireteam and play with them. Finally, calling players "little bots" and leaving the game when you're the best player on your team is toxic af. How would you feel if you were left behind by a better player? Remember, good players compete and try to improve, no matter the odds. Bad players whine, quit, and make excuses. What kind of player do you want to be?

Gives you more time to keep making posts about bad teammates.

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 11/24/2024 10:26:41 PMWhat do you get out of winning a control match ? , not anything significantly more than losing Winning only matters in Comp and Trials, and barely a little in Iron Banner The Completions I get while you are in matchmaking are more valuable than wins And one time I joined a team losing 70-30, a surge of good players joined from people leavinc and we came back and won 150-130

Or just implement sbmm, but then it gets crapped on for wait times, its a pretty fair way to make teams even.

People giving this guy a hard time don’t understand butterfly effect. You force him to stay in this game that he feels defeated and basically throws, you’re holding up another match where he and his two current teammates could be helpful. I hate quitting but forcing a player to stay is a terrible incentive to keep the population healthy. Plus bungie forces the other 2 players to stay wasting their time and other matches can’t get started until the clock reaches 0 in some cases.

I actually received my first ever suspension a couple nights ago, albeit for a completely different reason-- loaded into a Control match, and as soon as we dropped down, a guy (streaming by the way according to his name being a TTV Link), teleported directly in front of our team within a second and threw a Vortex Nova Bomb that had an unlimited duration, that's radius took up the entire map, so as soon as we would respawn, we would instantly start ticking damage and die, and he just sat there emote spamming the entire time while flying through the air. I left the match, waited about 2 minutes, attempted to queue up another game, and... you guessed it, it drops me back into the exact same match with the same nonsense happening; left, tried to do the same thing, and it drops me in a 3rd time-- surprise, I'm now suspended from matchmaking-- couldn't help but laugh and shake my head, so I Alt+F4'd and fired up a different game.

I just can't stand playing these matches where it feels like I have absolutely no impact. I drop a we ran and we still lose. I go 2-10 and we crush them. I can handle being on a team full of trash. I just need to feel like my performance actually affects the outcome of the match. But no, we'll continue to be forced into a 50% winrate.

Would rather play Gears 2 and deal with slow falling down stairs from Smoke Grenades.
