4 pinnacles all weapons in slots that are already at the 2010 cap. So basically my pinnacles turned into 4 powerful engrams. This is a horrible system that exists only to ensure you come back next week. Make pinnacles focusable or have them drop for the lowest piece of gear. I’ll be happier to play next week knowing my work is worth something rather than maybe being worth nothing. R&g is a great system for acquiring new weapons but it does not work for a leveling system. Please please please change this system.

Personally I want a perk based system like in eso atleast with that I feel my time is more valued.

They don't want these quality of life changes. They took away crafting for this precise reason and -blam!- streamers are clapping like trained seals and saying it's a "looter shooter" game. They need you coming back for more every week and wasting your time away for pointless drops. Just leave and go play something else. Vote with your time and money. I did.

Remember when we were promised loot protection back in like 2020 lol

I don't know why it was even added back this time. I get levelling up during expansions, but the Lightfall year of content where the gear cap didn't go up by 10 each season was great. Maybe it did damage to the number of people logging in on a weekly basis but I only heard positives about not having to meaninglessly grind every few months.

If the only thing making you come back each week is to reach the pinnacle cap you should stop playing the game RN tbh

Took me about 30 pinnacles to get a helmet to hit 2010. Pinnacle grind kills any motivation to keep playing. I’m more than happy to grind new content into the dirt until I’m sick of it. Hell, they still make you do that. But adding stale content grind to the mix makes the game more of a chore than any fun gained

One month running pinnacle activities to get a helmet. It’s all that’s left to get. Lol I even do some pinnacle activities on my other two characters and no helmets drop. Bad RNG? Plot to keep me away from finishing? Or maybe just a bad system. It’s always been an annoying experience so I do what I want and if it’s a pinnacle drop then so be it. It makes zero difference if I’m 2024 on my characters or 2025.

Pinnacles need to auto drop at lowest light slot.
-
Should just go back to having to do the raid to get max light only

I know what you’re talking about from experience but…since they introduced 'slot leveling' I feel it w is easier than ever. They are really trying to make you play all 3 characters because that's what makes it way more likely to get that elusive pinnacle drop in the right slot. Good luck nonetheless, guardian.

Game is rigged. Been playing this broken game since the beginning 10 years ago. The leveling system here is rigged! It’s absolutely laughable!!! 🤣🤣🤣 They won’t change it. Game is dead! They will not change it because you told them to. Game is a disaster. And this company is toast! 🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!

Edited by Hippo: 11/20/2024 10:34:26 PMI think the xp system making a return would be more palatable, base your gear of a level you can increase by playing the game, not subject to the RnG gods being cruel. Said it for years, considering gear level is our 'level' and compared to other MMO's, even in WoW if the gear you get weekly is not the right slot but is higher level then there are ways to trade or transmute it into a slot you do need, with Destiny its just an endless grind of repeat levelling the same slot over and over again until the game chooses otherwise. Oh and 4 energy weapons for me today, not even different slots...

Get rid of PL. Forever. Dreaming of reasonable decisions...

You must be new here.

I play FFXIV more for this reason I can grind out armor that's best in slot for each job when my main job has best in slot already. I can buy the items I need because there is a token system in that game. If I do a fight once per week, I can get a book or token and then I can trade that for gear I need if I roll on loot and get unlucky. Also the content is something you have to actually learn and get used to. There is nothing like that for me in destiny. Once I know a mechanic, I can do it fine. There is no in between. There is no variation to most mechanics when it comes to doing something different. The gameplay is stale and there is no amount of ways to aquire gear (that may or may not be bad) that could possibly entice me to say I'm truly enjoying my time. We are doing the same things for years. There is no variety in PvE content. The main selling point is loot and I already have the best loot that can take me through any and all content. So I spend my time elsewhere. Loot is an excuse to not add actual content to the game. It's used as a replacement for content. The chase IS the game. And the chase is stale when you do the same things over and over. Like going for Pinnacle. I do play from here and there. I do find the game fun. I just rather play FFXIV. So the main difference between the two games and their progression system is that I get a weekly capped currency, I buy the armor I need directly. There is only ONE of the item. So imagine I can buy a chest piece in Destiny from stocking up on strange coins and that chest piece is the ONLY one that can be 2010. No infusion. Static stats. Equip armor. Arms from same vendor is 2010 BUT bad stats. Then I do the raid and it has arms that are 2010. BETTER STATS. I get that arms. This constant INCHING to pinnacle is bad. It's used to also keep players coming back as you said.
