The reason why I asked is bc when playing crucible, I usually played Void Hunter. I’ve always played as a stealth based characters in most games, especially in pvp game type. I am usually pretty good at stealth based play style. In fact, my play style is and always be at stealth. Keeping distance, and trying not to get caught/hit. Positive KDA, and don’t usually died as often.
However, in D2, I feel like I can be easily get spotted while being invis. I tried all shorts of ways to not get spotted. I hide in a certain areas, even in the corners while being invis. Without getting spotted by a radar and in sight. They still managed to shotgun me around the corners or at the unexpected areas, before I even get the chance to react. Mostly, I feel like they either cheated or being invis revealed your location. I remember back then, before void 3.0 rework, I had no problem with hunter invis.
So my question are:
-Does hunter invis revealed ur location?
-is it that easy to spot a hunter invis?
-is it worth using invis in crucible?
I know what u guys probably gonna say, u just gotta get good…no, thats not it. I am always good at stealth based characters in most games. D2 is the only trouble (so far) I am having with. I even looked up on some builds and gameplay on YouTube channels as well.
Thank you, and please be mindful.

Visually it's map dependent, some maps you are visibly seen easier and some you're almost impossible to see. Your radar while invise was hit hard, you only have 25 meters of radar while invise..
-
It’s also pretty loud
-
I don’t think it’s too difficult to see when you’re n dueling range.
-
Players can detect you on the radar if you shoot/double jump. Also if your steps are muffled while invis but I don’t think anything else is. You’re most likely too good at sneaking around, you gotta crouch and use cover still. Invis hunter is super free you probably just need to learn more about it.

It’s easy with my stasis warlock haha making invis hunters panic
-
VERY easy to see. I used to have 10% vision before surgery and even i could see them easily. You are also visible on radar if you do any of the following during invis... Run. Double jump. Use an ability.

Easy for me to spot a purple haze moving around the map.

A friend of mine uses the prodigal return with (GL) with disruption break and a ratking. He puts the radar mod on his gl so when he swaps he gets the radar back on Invis. I feel in this state of the game invis has become so predictable you need to be ready to have the first engagement. You can't expect to go invis and instantly win the game anymore you need to preemptively strike with something that hits hard. Omni or graviton forfeit are pretty good for that I think omni intimidates most players.
-
If you're playing against someone who knows how invisibility works, it can be pretty worthless Most people who use invis are incredibly predictable. It makes a loud sound effect when you turn it on and that audio cue basically screams that you're about to push and where from
-
You still ping on enemy radar when invisible, so if you're anywhere near your opponent they will still have some idea of where you are. Plus with your own radar nerfed while invisible it's entirely possible for an attentive player to get the jump on you. Its...not as good as it used to be in pvp. Still has its uses, but overall it's not wise to rely on it for defense.
-
On its own, Invisibility does not make an opposing player particularly difficult to see; but throw in some mitigating factors such as particle effects from grenades/explosions to break up an invis player’s outline, nearby player movement to make it more difficult to pick out individual noises or long distances to ensure they stay off the radar and have fewer total pixels to display the tell-tale shimmer and the opposing player will start to exhibit slower reaction speeds in engaging an invisible opponent, which might just be enough to make the difference in many cases. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

I can usually spot the purple shimmer and light refraction, but I have pretty good eyesight. However I believe it still does not hide from the regular "wall hack" exotics like Wishender, One Eyed Mask, etc.

On my TV, I can't see an invis character at all. They can be in my face, I can't see them. I don't know if it's the contrast or settings, or I'm too far away, or whatever. Even when I know they are there, I still can't see them.

Yes it’s very easy to spot
