Pinnacles do not always drop above my current max power level
Pinnacles do not always drop above my current max power level although I am having my highest power level stuff on the character and it hasn't reached the hard cap yet. This happened e.g. for Dead Man's Tale and Hawkmoon.
My Hunter's base power level (w/o artifact) currently is 1303. Hawkmoon dropped at 1303.
Or is it that the Hawkmoon is a powerful drop and you are getting an additional pinnacle item dropped from the world loot pool?

My friend and I both received gauntlets as the pinnacle drop when we ran it last week, in addition to a Hawkmoon which was below our current max.

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure the extra item is the pinnacle. I know it's a different mission, but after doing Presage, I did it again for the pinnacle, and had Dead Man's Tale, some gauntlets, and chest armor drop. The chest armor was the pinnacle, and DMT and the gauntlets were normal drops. I would imagine the same goes for the Hawkmoon mission.
