And it's honestly because I have gotten so used to half-baked major releases. So I am mad but I also admire CDPR, if you don't know; a few months back they delayed to fix bugs until March; but all I can think of is getting my hands on the game, how cool it is that it will be a polished (and Polish- *salutes the mother land*) product, and I am mad becuse now I have to wait until friggin March.
Sorry, but considering the fact that most Triple AAA devs crank out games at the behest of publishers ridiculous time frames, CDPR is taking a comparably brave step, a good one but a personally infuriating one.
It's not the first time it's happened in gaming history, hopefully won't be the last, but CDPR is doing a stand-up thing despite there being the ongoing threat of a pandemic looming over everyone's heads. The studio put out a statement saying something along the lines of; they refused to put out a buggy half-polished game. For a publisher of over a thousand employees, it's refreshing to see that the management has not lost sight of the fact that they are creating games and not simply using a studio resource to produce profitable pixels.
As a lover of esoteric games, and the art of games (yes I like the AAA boom booms too occasionally, but if were being honest- it's really more than that.) like Death Stranding, Lisa, Carrion etc. It is so gorramn refreshing to see a huge title like CP get some actual solid treatment from it's publisher.
And that's not even mentioning how they've been good to their employees.
rant over
tl;dr- CDPR is best developer/publisher and it pisses me off to no cognitively dissonant end because they want to make their game better but it's taking so long!
EDIT: correction- the game is still coming in November, I read about the multiplayer coming in March 2021 and became confused...
I feel better for letting that out, look; I will be patient but I will be loud about the fact that I don't want to be patient.
"it's done when it's done" boy their statement sure stood the test of time lulz, CDR ended up showing they're just like any other developer out there with how buggy and poorly optimized their game was.
