Why is Gear from the Moon & Dreaming City Sunset?
I am not one of those people who hate sun-setting but I think it is ridiculous to sunset gear that you can still earn. Shadowkeep was only released a year ago and we are still able to earn everything from that release but the gear is sunset?? Makes no sense to increase the difficulty of Nightmare Hunts but sunset the armor you use to do them. Please fix this Bungie, allow gear from Shadowkeep/Moon to be max leveled or get rid of the destination.
**Edit 1: I didn’t realize dreaming city stuff was sunset as well. If it is in the game and can be earned it should NOT be sunset. How can Bungie possibly justify increasing the difficulty of destination activities but sunset the gear on those destinations? This leads to a terrible player experience for ppl who are new to the game. What a turn off it would be to buy Shadowkeep and than realize all legendary gear you earn from it is worthless. Same goes for Dreaming City activities.
**Edit 2: Bungie owes us an explanation on the criteria for sunset. The only thing I can recall is Luke Smith saying something about making ppl give up on weapons like Breakneck to try the new stuff. This doesn’t make any sense because they kept gear that is three years old but sunset others that are only a year old. I’m sorry I love Bungie but it is ridiculous to Sunset gear that you currently can earn in the game. This was a bad decision it’s OK to admit that if it makes the game better Luke. Get over your ego and fix this. I’m not talking about content that has been removed, I am referring to gear that is currently obtainable in game. Either get rid of the gear completely or make it max level.
@cozmo23 and @dmg04 please address this with the team.

Not a SINGLE word on the gear from old expansions being sunset. That's just how it is, deal with it. I mean holy shit, Bungie knows they can get away with anything now. They can still sell DLC with most of the gear being useless and not put a word about that onto the storefront. And it's just "fine". The Steam reviews are a complete dumpster fire, but it's just "fine". Exotics and old beloved supers will be next btw., because they know they can do anything now and just get away with it, because people LET them get away with it. Good job Bungie Defence Force, you really did it! If the game ever gets so bad even you take notice and then question how it could ever get this far, just take a look in the mirror.
