Jon looks sad in that picture. Well it makes sense for a psycopathic mage like himself. I have now been trying to add as much Baldurs Gate music into this post as possible so I can further the nostalgia train. So I have been blasting myself with nostalgia again and decided to go back to possibly my favorite game series ever. The original Baldurs Gate games. I was playing Baldurs Gate 2 again when I found the save for one of my oldest characters and it confounded me to find that I did not complete the games with him. So I decided to pick up the young bard and finish his adventures.
Now it was one of my original characters so I really had no clue what I was doing when I created the character. But that didn’t stop me from adventure! I adventured and fought my way through Baldurs Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal over the past months (as I have been quite busy at times and also wished to savor the adventure. I love Baldurs Gate).
That adventure came to its cimatic ending today as the great adventuring party of Korgan Bloodaxe, Mazzy Fentan, Valygar Corthala, Imoen, Viconia DeVir, and my own bard slew the demon Prince Demogorgon and then fought our way to the throne of Bhaal in a epic battle. The bard denied his destiny of power and decided to stay as a mortal for there truly are people worth giving up power for. With that my characters tale, which should have ended a while ago, finally ended. A great adventure from candlekeep and the Friendly Arm Inn all the way to Bhaals throne itself. Now I have a idea (well had for a while) of the character I will play when Baldurs Gate 3 finally comes out in full.
I don’t know how many of you actually played the original Baldurs Gate games or actually care but whatever. I just felt like sharing. Ok I am going back to living under a rock or something now. Goodbye my hamsters and rangers. Lil alurl! For Shar!

I don't know anything about the *original* Baldur's Gate series, but there was a PS2 entry to the series which I loved as a child. Dark Alliance? Dark Legacy? Idk, it was Baldur's Gate: Dark something or other. I don't think it's a popular game in the series, but I used to really enjoy it. Man, some day, I need to get hold of another PS2 and replay some of these great older games...
