Is Horizon Zero Dawn as generic as Ubisoft's open world games?
I'm thinking of buying it, but from the gameplay trailers I've watched it's looks more or less generic (explore, climb, kill mechanic dino, a bit of story, repeat).
Makes me worried it's as generic as Ubisoft's open world games (Far Cry, AC). Far Cry bores the shit out of me and the last AC game I played (Origins) bored me after only a few days.

No. Get it, it’s awesome. It has an expansive skill tree, humor and emotion. I nearly cried at times. It’s how the shadow of Mordor games should have been, in my opinion. Not a lot of gore, since you fight mainly robots. The dlc is short, but still cool. It’s altogether a beautiful game, with an awesome photo mode.
