As the title says. In PvE, they are capable of doing a lot of damage around their area. If there's a Knight or something around, he's probably going to get pretty roughed up by them, especially if you're using Verity's Brow or charging the grenade with top-tree Voidwalker.
But once again in PvP, we have another inconsistent Warlock ability. I have seen Guardians stand directly in the middle of regular Scatter Grenades and get tickled for half of their shields. And in some cases, I've seen Guardians like that take enough damage to compare it to a Fusion Grenade stick.
Let's not forget the fact that for some absurd reason, Scatter Grenades sometimes love to BOUNCE on the ground a couple of times before they actually detonate. They're weak enough, they don't have to BOUNCE for no reason on top of that.
Now enough with the negatives, Magris. You don't mean to say that they're completely useless, right?
Right. They're not totally bad. For starters, they don't BOUNCE off of walls. And in smaller corridors, they're pretty good at finishing targets. When they're not BONCING, they can be used to clean up a shotgun rusher that's charging you while you're lighting them up with a primary weapon pretty fast. They do have their utility and you can make them work.
But as grenades in PvP, they're pretty bad and inconsistent. Someone that's standing directly in the middle of a Scatter Grenade should not be taking a bunch of 2s and 4s as damage values.
And they BOUNCE.

The bounce glitch has been around since D1 launch.
