I think your issue is creativity. For how long now they are just regeritating the same content in different forms and getting away with it. The fact is people keep buying it, even with these posts weekly.
In the end they keep doing what makes money and not what would make the game great again. Being 100% honest, burned out or not if they imported the destiny 1 raids for example people would have new life. Its just the little things they could do even until they figure out a real path. They desperately need fun back in this game.
Scorch Crucible IS NOT IT

If the issue is a lack of creativity and the regurgitating of old content, how could regurgitating the old raids alleviate the problem??

Original raids oh man, that would infuse the game with people who might not enjoy the more complex raid mechanics. I loved vault of glass, parts of Kings fall, and Wrath of machine.

Same. The first D2 raid was horrible to me after having loved vog and wrath of the machine so much. Even crota was pretty fun. They felt learnable in a way that the new ones do not. I've made it through Leviathan, last wish and scourge and all left me not wanting to go back. I did like the map of last wish at least but Leviathan I did not at all. And then after two mini raids there we go back there for that last crown of sorrow raid and I should ve realized then that shadowkeep would be a let down but I'm a sucker.

You said it perfectly: They desperately need to put fun back in this game. Somehow Bungle has apparently decided grinding/chores are fun. IMHO what they need is more solo/ad hoc playable stuff, more matchmakeable content (kinda like Menagerie in concept), less stuff that feels like a job complete with meetings and schedules and repetition.

i agree with this and say it all the time.. they are trying to make it a full time job and not a fun hobby
