(After the events of Antares, the year time span before The Singularity began. Outside the city of Altair within the planet Antares, near a crystal clear lake just a long the shoreline, midday. Worm has set up a teleporter using the technology from all of Cell-3's troops and command.)
Jay: *staring at Worm concerningly with his arms crossed*. "Are you sure this portal is gonna get us off this planet?"
Worm: *hovers his hand just over a big red button that doesn't look safe at all*. "Heheh, don't worry Jay! I've got it covered, I'm a master of the Mystical Arts and one day you'll be too!"
Jay: *rolls his eyes and exhales with a short snicker*. "Right. I'm not cut out for that weird clown shit."
Worm: *impatient tone in his voice*. "Are you gonna let me press this button or what? We've been on this stupid planet long enough, I wanna explore!"
Jay: *shrugs his shoulders*. "Go ahead dude, I'm not holding you back."
Worm: *nods*. "Alright, here goes nothing!"
(With hopes of finally being able to leave the planet they are stuck on, Worm smashes his palm down upon the red button and activates the machine he has been working on for many days. With the sound of a loud and broken generator, the machine turns on and the ground around the two friends begins to shake and spin, reality distorting, then suddendly, a bright orange light shoots out like the sun from the machine as the portal is fully operational.)
Worm: *trying to balance himself as his equilibrium is off from the affects of the machine*. "Haaaaaah! I knew it would work."
Jay: *starts to feel himself be dragged towards the portal*. "Hey! Something's not right here, turn it off."
(Hearing Jay's words and beginning to second guess himself after feeling the gravitational pull, Worm presses the button multiple times but the machine will not turn off.)
Worm: "Woah woah! Of course it won't turn off.....there wouldn't be a plot if it did turn off...."
Jay: *facepalms*. "Ugh..."
(Unable to turn off the machine, both Jay and Worm are sucked inside the portal and afterwords, the machine kills itself and erupts in a fiery explosion.)
----------------------------------------------------------
(Moments after the distortion in reality and after the explosion from the machine occurred.)
Ronin: *warps in to examine what is going on*. "What the hell?...."
Artemis: *standing by Ronin's side*. "Hey, what is it?"
Ronin: *examines the distortion coming from where the portal was with his eyes*. "It's strange, hard to explain. Whatever this is, it isn't of the Divine or Hollow."
Artemis: *questionably glances up to Ronin*. "I don't understand. Those two were Jay and Worm, what could they be up to?"
Ronin: *places his hand over his mouth as he thinks deeply*. "I'm not sure. All I know is that this fracture in reality left by this machine isn't normal or anything I've ever seen with my eyes."
Artemis: *walks over to the terminal and tries to turn on the computer screen*. "It doesn't work anymore, that's typical."
Ronin: *glances over to Artemis*. "I know one thing for sure. The technology those two used to build this machine came from Cell-3 and whatever power he acquired for himself within Hueco Mundo. If that realm were still alive then we could investigate......"
Artemis: "Hm. So what do we do?"
Ronin: "Let's head back to our base. I'll try to figure out more from there."
Artemis: *nods*. "Okay."
