We understand your point in that you want people to feel they are making meaningful choices. But this core economy is so bad the only choice that feels meaningful is to keep asking the system be changed. Reverted back to old or giving lots more ways to earn tied to the tasks we are forced to do already to get leveled up gear.
To infuse a full set of equipment one time per item with two being exotic that's what 18 cores. That is all spider bounties across all three characters. For just one characters load out. Worse thing is over an hour to get and complete those bounties each time and not while accomplishing anything towards the powerful engrams.
I feel adding another bounty system isn't going to quell the masses. It's just going to tick people off. Here's how. People have been posting a lot how bad crucible is. Now give them bounties for crusible they'll say you're forcing them to play your crap festival. Same for Gambit. Those haters will do the same thing.
Try having 5 cores offered for 5 match completion in crusible. Then the crusible weekly is worth one powerful and 5 cores.
Same for. Gambit, Gambit Prime, Heroic Strikes, Nightfall, And anything else that has a weekly powerful. Cores offered in correlation to objective difficulty.
This method can provide enough for each character to support itself leveling up. Then spider bounties could help provide for master working some gear.
If there is a flaw in this thought process. Please Bungie team explain what it is. I'm sure you can't.
