Look.
Honestly.
Your egotistical stubborn refusal to give your players a "win" on this subject only indicates that your development team has extremely bad business sense...
The term "the customer is always right" is not always true, but when it applies to a sizable portion of your customer base flat out demanding you take a specific action, refusing to do so is universally seen as foolish and incompetent from business aspects.
Yes. I admit. Changing your direction now will be seen as an admission that you were wrong to do this in the first place. And some might even see a concession on this point as a weakness that will motivate unhappy players to demand more changes you are hesitant to commit to because it's in a direction different than your original goals.
The problem is that there isn't a debate going on between you and the customers where you have a moral highground. The customers already know you're wrong. There's no discussion, you are wrong, they know it. Your consistent failure to do what is being demanded of you is only making people angrier...
It's time to take a deep breath, and let this go. Accept any fallout that comes of it, and move on to more important matters. You cannot win here. The calls for removal will never stop until you are forced to do it rather you want it or not. It's time to stop fighting. Just let go and let what needs to happen happen.

And 14-15 hundred upvotes on people that are against cores isn't a sizeable portion of the community.. just saying
-
It's a sizable portion of the forums users. And it's reflected on redit. And from privates surveys with people not using the forums or redit. Cozmo said in writing "we are telling the development team the majority of the players want cores out of infusion" So................ What ever you think..... Bungie's paid community leads see it as a "majority". The people against cores being removed are the volcal minority.
-
You truly have no idea what you're talking about but ok
-
You’re acting like removing them is inevitable. The sad fact is that Cores are clearly going nowhere any time soon. They don’t want to change it and nothing we say will change that. Not as a “quick removal”, anyway. If it changes at all, best we can hope for is a Y3 update. Only something which has big changes anyway is likely to make them even consider it at this point.
-
Mehhh... Maybe... It's kinda like a guy trying to have sex with a hornets nets.... You're going to have to stop eventually, either because the pain of the thousands of stings gets too much, or...you know, because you die.... Or in bungie's case the game dies...
-
It is ok they dug their grave now they can die in it

Edited by Necrogen: 4/25/2019 1:59:59 PMWhat fng moral highground are you talking about?? It's their game and we signed our licenses that state the game is changed according to them because you know....it's their game? You and the minority group complaining are equally as egotistical if you think puffing up your chest enough is going to scare them. It is time to let it go. There are more pressing matters to attend to. If you don't want to be a part of this franchise there's the door. Respect yourself and your time and stop focusing your energy in things that won't change.
-
Well said, truly. But you’re in the minority here. More people want cores gone than for them to stay. Also, part of the issue is that they say that they’re listening and addressing in-game issues according to our feedback, where in reality they just pervert and change the issue without directly addressing it. They may as well just say that they aren’t listening, because that’s the reality of it.

Edited by Necrogen: 4/25/2019 3:42:38 PMIt seems like I'm in the minority but that's because not everyone posts on the forums. A lot of people don't care. I see the same 50 people complaining all the time. Posts look popular because it's 3 nut jobs arguing back and forth. But uh, thank you.

Stats? Seems to me there are way more people playing than screaming in the forums.
-
The non-vocal majority don't care enough to come to the forums to see their demise and, therefore, would be apathetic to the removal of them.
-
Assuming you know the will of the silent majority is incredibly fallacious.

that would indicate discrimination.
