Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

It would be good if the gunsmith also had a weekly bounty for one of his weapons with random rolls. Could have a chance to be a masterwork. Dont just make him 'mr enhancement core'. He is a character in the game. Hes the gunsmith. His main thing should be guns.
-
Keep scrapper bounties and have heroic events drop purple gear- along with 1 core ON TOP of the gunsmith stuff.
-
Make Mods more accessible.
-
1 that's so generous. And people said haha.
-
I like this change.

Edited by AeroWraith901: 4/10/2019 9:09:13 PMThe weekly bounties should reward 3-5 cores depending on what the bounties are asking for. Also, scrapper bounties shouldn't be removed, just let em be an addition to the more reliable Banshee bounties.
-
So the other thread is over, is that it? I guess we'll have to repeat everything all over again in this one.
-
*Weekly bounty gives one core Yep this isn't gonna help The dev team wants to try enlarging the circle instead of stopping their attempts to shove the square in it and don't even make it big enough.
-
This is a very cheap way to extend the "Grind" bungie. If you implement this no one is gonna use it. This is bullshit fam. I am so sorry i wasn't able to do the bloody exploit cause this is bullshit. Give us a VIABLE means of amassing cores on our terms. VIABLE! Either remove it from infusion or gives us a means to get more than 7 cores easily at once.
-
Give ik"core"ra bounties for enhancment cores such as complete a raid 15 cores complete 3 strikes and the nightfall 10 cores play 5 matches of crucible 5 cores players will already be doing these things just gives more incentive to grind it out
-
I really hope Bungie will keep making the grind incredibly difficult and time consuming. And more of the gameplay extremely difficult. This will set the Destiny franchise apart from the crowd as being for hardcore players and vets looking for a challenge. Let the casuals play Anthem.

Bought with easy to obtain materials- Check! Gives enhancement cores and mod components- Check! Daily and weekly bounties- Check! Sounds good, but it would be better if it could be implemented earlier than next season.

Hey DMG. What would be the chance of, instead of removing enhancement cores from infusion, change the amount required per infuse? Let's say: For infusion an exotic into a legendary, no cores required For infusing one legendary into another, it's 1 core For one blue into a legendary, 2 cores For a green into legendary 3 cores For a white into legendary, 4 cores. Is it possible in a relatively short timeframe to do this? (At least the legendary into legendary)
-
Everybody who is complaining that enhancement cores should be removed is forgetting that enhancement cores are also used to upgrade a weapon's masterwork status. It's not an artificial grind and scarcity makes things valuable. I'm looking forward to having the gunsmith provide another source of cores and getting random mod components. Just to add a little bit about material economy, any thoughts on having Spider trade in Baryon Boughs? I have quite a few stacking up in my vault.
-
I like this. Good start. I would have to see it in play. If you have 5 daily bounties, plus the weekly, plus getting from dismantling and other sources, it could help.
-
I dont even have to scroll through the comments to know that it isnt going to be enough for some people. Thanks for the update. Sounds like nice middle ground.
-
Edited by The_Nystro: 4/10/2019 8:54:55 PMI suppose this will all depend on how many of these bounties there is total, but these seem like good changes to me. At least 8 cores a week for just playing the game seems like a good system
-
Are you being serious? I'm this a really poor joke?
-
Edited by TonnoSenpai: 4/10/2019 9:07:39 PMgg bungie , with this buntie's farm is more easy but crybabys will stopp( or not), but why weekly 1 core and not 7? O_O
-
yikes...
-
Edited by Spooky_Ari: 4/10/2019 9:02:12 PMGlimmer, but that's required for infusion and you can't even grind the Blind Well for glimmer as it doesnt drop from the enemies! Bungie strikes again! D: seriously tho, this is a good change.
-
I had a possible solution Infusion costs Glimmer/Shards only if you are infusing the same type of weapon ex. Scout into Scout If you want to do a cross infusion Ex. Auto into a Scout, that costs X amount of cores.

Edited by Veilfire07: 4/10/2019 8:45:02 PMWhile I understand that cores usage/economy will continue to evolve I want to point out that the clan perk 'Core Hound' has been extremely useful in granting a solid influx of cores for just playing the game. Please do not remove this perk after this season. If possible please make this perk a standard for all seasons henceforth. If we simply play the game across three characters we get 21 cores. This negates the bulk of the issue as there is a constant influx of cores as I play the game. Cheers to whoever came up with this clan perk idea. Thank you :)

Salty bitches where ya at???

Would there ever be a possibility to getting rid of core for moving up a weapon or armor? I’m fine with paying 10 cores to masterwork an item. But I’m not particularly happy with paying almost 30 to masterwork a weapon from level 1
