Bungie still doesn’t respect the time of people that play this game.
It stems from poor design implemented in the base game of D2. and has been further exacerbated by puzzling choices made in changes to your core systems, coupled with a glacially slow response with the few positive changes you have made.
Furthermore, the stubbornness you exhibit regarding certain aspects of the game would be admirable if those aspects weren’t so terrible that they are best described as a hill you are willing to die on. Sometimes you need to make the tough decision of admitting you were wrong and correct your poor choices.
All the goodwill that was earned by D1 has been squandered by the mess of D2. Even with its troubles, D1 was a great game - not a masterpiece, but a great game. D2 was a terrible game at launch and subsequent changes amount to nothing more than painting over flaws in the construction. The most gracious way to describe D2 is that it is a heavily nerfed version of D1.
I didn’t even touch on how cynical you have turned most of the players of your games. Hopefully your next product can be great at launch and start to begin the rebuilding process of trust in the community. Trust in a relationship (and this is a relationship) is easily lost, and hard to regain. You have a long road ahead of you if you want my trust again (and other players like me).
