Bungie, thanks for making The Season of the Drifter uninteresting and not fun. I have spent more than 2,000 hours (or 25+ per week) playing D2 but don’t see a reason to play Season 6.
Gambit Prime is not fun. Solo queueing is even less pleasant. The problem of laggy invaders has not been fixed. Instead, it is worse because the primeval fight drags on for 3 people, as the fourth invades continuously. Invaders come over more than 5 times and arrive pretty much every time the shield is down. These invaders one hit you while not taking damage in return. It ends when the time runs out and the "most damaged primeval" team wins.
This may be better when people are higher light or have full gambit gear from the reckoning. Sadly, I don’t want to play long enough to get the gear.
Leveling is a chore. Guardians who played in the past 2 weeks, don’t have access to weekly Forge or Gambit bounties. Those that did not play get rewarded though as they have them.
Powerful drops from most milestones are 1 light level higher, so there is no point in completing them.
One can get higher items from crucible but the same laggy players kill with Not Forgotten or other Meta weapons. Normally, the first time I know they are there is when I take damage, die, hear the weapon fire and then see them near me. My look sensitivity is maxed, but that is not enough. If I shoot someone in the head, they take no damage & kill me. If I shoot wildly near them, I have a chance to kill them or get an assist.
My plan is to complete a last wish and scourge on each character for the drops and then quit playing for the week. Perhaps next week will be better as weekly bounties return. Perhaps I will skip the season and use the makeup to hit 690 for the final season.
I play games for fun and Season 6 isn’t. Perhaps the anthem issues get solved, the game is better and I play it. Otherwise, I may be on Assassin’s Creed for the next few months.

So not really quitting at all. K
