Is it hard for you to grab friends and figure out a puzzle? What does it matter if streamers are solving it? [i]you[/i] need to solve it to move forward. Stop blaming others for your lack of skill and go play the game.

I for one think that it should be account based and if you don't figure it out then too bad. No one got sleep stim in D1 without figuring out the puzzle. No one got the oracle's done for whisper without understanding the sequence. It's not major part of the game and cannot be sped through. It's too bad they didn't stick to their guns.

To be fair, no puzzles in D1 required you to have obscure knowledge or access to google to solve it.

I would say binary is much more useful and understandable than deciphering the French works that are required for the puzzle. And more over, outbreak prime was an optional path. If you wanted to progress with black armory or get the multiple new exotics, chances were that you would have had to do the puzzle.

But see there's the disconnect. You'll justify one over the other based on your preference/ opinion. I like both methods regardless. If the puzzle is finished and you didn't enjoy the process then you feel it's a bad puzzle. I like cryptic puzzles. I see nothing wrong. To each their own though.

It's not just that though, the outbreak prime required only one section where you may have needed to look up something, and you could enter multiple codes relatively quickly. You didn't have to do a 15 minute run to make a single attempt. But as you said, we shall agree to disagree.

I get what you're trying to say, but to lock paid content behind some arduous puzzle on top of keeping solo players at bay, doesn't make for a good time. A lot of people have other responsibilities outside of gaming and can't spend the better part of the day trying to figure cryptic puzzles out. Let alone 6. I don't mind these types of activities, but I didn't buy this game or dlc to try and decode parts of French history. I think Bungie tried something and it didn't work out. You're right. Nobody made me buy it. I chose not to watch any streamers, because I just don't watch streamers. I bought this on my own and like everyone else who buys things, I expect to be able to use them. Not have to rely on someone or myself to accomplish some monumental task just to use said item. That said Bungie; swing and a miss.

Quite literally they were people crazy enough to bash themselves. Bashing their own intelligence to try to get it done and express that they don't have the ability to work with others and try to solve the puzzle because they aren't the top streamers. I found that these types of people will go to the lengths of even insulting themselves in trying to make a point. but in any case bungie decided to go ahead and open it up for people who want to just go into the forge and leave the opportunity of finishing the puzzle if people so wish to
