The "best and brightest" How did that comment work out for Bungie almost 24 hours later with no completion. Even now some big streamers are thowing in the towel. This is taking longer than a raid and for what? 15 mins of throwing a ball around? Huge failure on Bungies part.

The reality coz is that what you guys will be "monitoring" next month is most streamers switching to Anthem, Metro exodus, and any other game that comes out next month cause this game is donezo, and anyone who depends on money from streaming a game would be smart to drop this loser.

Not some arduous 20+ hour closed fireteam puzzle solving. A community event would be something like a planet has some new thing happening that people go jump into the public square and once enough of something has been done or achieved, the new forge opens. Something triggered by players in the public square like the Whisper quest, but that REMAINS in the public square for everyone present to partake in once it has been triggered. What we’re looking at now is something for a very small percentage of the player base. This is not something the average player is going to do. The raid participation/completion numbers are low enough that I would have thought that this was obvious.

Well, when in the announcment tweet for the new content bungie includes a link to twitch and an invitation to watch "the best and brightest" beat it in a worlds first race, then it was designed for streamers as a twitch pr ploy.

[i]The streamers don’t represent any of us.[/i] (Edit: it's not even that they intentionally don't represent us; it's that they [i]can't[/i]. They have an entirely different viewpoint and experience with this game.)

OMG this. There is a difference from hardcore player and paid employee. We cannot compete with paid employees. They play all day and get paid for it. How can the remainder of the community enjoy content made for this person?
