I tip my hat for creating a game good enough to keep me on the forums even when I hardly play any more. Sadly, I am still 335 on all my characters, time to kill hasn't changed, my shaders are still overflowing my mailbox, subclass builds haven't changed, and we still will have nothing that makes us feel powerful.
Adding more loot back into activities is a great step, now we just need more activities. Literally all this game has left for me at this point is prestige raids and finding enough people on from my playlist isn't happening. The only other thing is the new trials loot which is locked behind either extreme sweaties or "hackers"(pc).
We play this game because we want to feel powerful. If we wanted to play a pure shooter there are many other options. We play this game because of what is different, not the same.
Let's talk about what we mean when we say more content. Destiny 2 released late October for PC. Myself and all of my friends were all maxed with so many 305 armor sets and weapons that we ran out of vault space...with weeks to go until CoO dropped.
Then came CoO, within a week we had all beaten the raid lair and within a few short weeks we were all 335 on all of our characters. Masterworks kept us grinding a bit, but once we got bored of that we were done.
This game is marketed as an MMORPGFPS. If any other MMORPG had such a small amount of content and customization, they would be laughed out of the market. If any FPS had PVP with as many problems and guns with as many bugs as yours, they would lose their fan base.
Weeks after CoO however, we were all bored out of our minds. That is what is considered lacking content. Content is not limited to adding more weapons or armor. It also includes adding more to do.
TLDR:
You guys are on the right track, but don't stop. Address these things and profit:
1.) Make us feel powerful
2.) Re-evaluate TTK
3.) Don't punish collectors
4.) Give us more actual content
5.) Give us more subclass variability options
We hope you're listening, cause we sure are watching.

I would consider CoO to be worse than DB because the dlc was just a joke that just added more Eververse/cosmetic items as part of its content. #Unaddressed
