The following is a letter written by the Hunter Ceris Vance. Her Ghost provided it after the morality of her Guardian came under question from Vanguard Officials. This document originated pre-Red War.

Dear Apheyra,
You shouldn't worry about your situation, cuz’ being a Guardian is awesome!
There’s just something exciting about tossin a ‘nade or popin a Hydra with a little burst of fire at your fingers.
Like Snap! They’re gone!
It also helps that you don’t need to fear Death no more. When he does rear that ugly head, there’s this moment between hittin the floor and revivin that feels exhilarating. Normally there’s this itch, a sort of urge to go out there and do the darkness dirty. But when you’re briefly dead, that’s when you get to rest.
From what I’ve heard, most Guardians experience different things when we kick the temporary bucket.
Some folks have dreams, others witness only black. I did meet this one guy who generated heavy ammo every time he went, and you can bet that pissed Shaxx off. Poor bugger got himself banned faster than a Titan learns Blink.
As for me, I get to have my mind yanked out of the used up corpse and see through the eyes of my Ghost for a bit.
It’s pretty creepy, I do admit, yet I’m not one to give back a gift this good.
I enjoy that restless feelin of combat, when you leave no one standin except you and your Ghost. I get that some prefer to just run past what doesn’t need to die in the moment, but I think lettin a Dreg live to be a Kell is even worse. So take a breath and revel in the fight, there’s always plenty of time to feel empathy after your subject’s not tryin to put a knife in your neck.
I genuinely feel bad for the normal folk, they’re really missing out. We Guardians get to live in a whole other world, and if I had the choice, I wouldn’t hesitate to live this life again.
(Edit from Ceris’ Ghost: We do not condone actively trying to become a Guardian due to the irreversible symptoms of memory loss and death. Please proceed at your own risk)
So Apheyra, I don’t want to see you all worked up about who you once were. Life ain’t fair, but there are times when she gives a gift that makes the sufferin worth it. Take your Light, embrace it, and play the game like you never have before.
Trust me, there’s nothin to regret after all is said and done.
-Best of luck with your learnin,
Ceris Vance.

What is wrong with that woman!? I still think she's implicated in the massacre...
It's cool that your finishing up/continuing the stories of side characters. It adds a lot proffesionality to it (and yes, that is not a word.)
