If you start a strike, heroic or regular, you get matched into a team. And being a team means working together, not repeatedly trying to run past all the enemies while the other two work their way through them, and dying, leaving the other two to kill all the enemies while you wait to respawn
Seriously, i've had 5 strikes today where someone kept trying the "mad dash" tactic. If you're there at the start of the strike, you shouldn't be ending it with less than 30 kills while i've got over 170
(Edit: the point i'm trying to say here is pull your weight, and work with your team. Don't be some idiot that runs off by themselves, dies without even reaching the next checkpoint, waits to revive, and then repeats that process multiple times in a single strike. It's basically the equivalent of sitting in the back doing a dance emote while the other 2 players are killing their way through

Some strikes you can easily skip paat areas while some you can't. The xol strike at the start i always skip through and i always end up wiping the team because everyone is lingering behind and get killed.
-
Yeah, not gonna kill each and every pack of trash in a strike. I want to finish the weekly before I'm 90, thank ye. Sucks you can't really sprint through Heroics anymore since everything hits like a freight train...

Edited by QUANTUM-CHUNGUS: 7/15/2018 9:59:57 AMYou killed 170 ads and only about 50 of them mattered. Stop trying to tell people how they should play their own game c unt

Well, if I'm doing my challenges & they don't match singe, what then?
-
i did this on a heroic pyramidion i killed every single enemy then i waited
-
By that same token, you could stick with that mad dasher, reviving each other in tandem. Your goal may be to kill, but mine is to complete the strike quickly. I think it’s the difference in personal objectives that leads to this unfortunate scenario.
-
I usually back out before the strike starts by going to character select screen. If it's solar singe and you're running arcstrider or defender with coldheart and a void sword, don't expect people who can read to suffer a 45 minute strike that should take 10-15 minutes.

My only warning: Remember this GT IF we spawn in Mercury, I WILL leave you behind idc, I’m speed running any Mercury strike. If I happen to die, DONT revive me, I’m texting ppl back and I most likely died on purpose. I will take the slow approach when I just feel like mindlessly shooting things but if someone runs through 🤷🏾♂️ why should I care I’m playing how I want, why can’t they ... you not getting to shoot enough ppl before the boss shoot faster. It’s nothing to keep up with a speed runner AND kill everything. However if you like taking the full amount of time on a strike, get you some friends, get in a fireteam, or deal with us speed runners cause it’s never that serious 😂 As long as the boss get killed idc how you got there or what or how much you had to kill yo get there 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

What D2 is actually missing is more gated strike waves. More areas where you can’t go on without finishing an objective.
-
If I match into a game with a team that speed runs then I run with them. If I match into a game and they want to shoot stuff in the face then I help. Bungie should make the strike catalyst drop from any strike enemy but higher chance from the boss. That way people would actually do the strike properly instead of speedrun.
-
I’ll play it any way I like to. It’s just a freakin strike for gods sake.
-
sounds like you need to play patrol instead of strikes
-
Edited by Wonder Boys: 7/15/2018 8:26:11 AMMaybe if you run faster you can? 😂 My game and I’ll play the way I like. 😉

I agree. I think we need more of an point to be killing all the bad guys because that’s the point of destiny a looter shooter. But with all the people just trying to get everything done as fast as they can I don’t see them changing it because there would be many people complaining about it how they can’t finish it as fast as they want to
-
I’ll play any way i want, Thank you!
-
I love to t bag those players.
-
There should be 2 types of matchmaking for heroic strikes. 1 for those who want to rush through and another for those that want to play through it.
-
I just laugh as they usually try to run through everything and die repeatedly. If you really have done the Strike enough, you should be able to quickly and easily kill everything without much trouble. I know the Infinite Forest is boring, but trying run through it when Glass or Grounded is on is probably not a great idea.
-
You can run through most of them also have a hunter make you invisible
-
Depends on the mood. If I'm sick of a particular strike or my team mates are just general asshats of fuckery then ill leave them behind and let them stay dead when they die
-
Get good
-
The last time some muppet tried to do that, my friend and I watched him die repeatedly, trying to dash through everything. Then when he eventually pulled us through to the boss we didn't res him once, preferring to dance and teabag his ghost. He quit, no doubt foaming at the mouth and cursing us. We then blocked him because we don't like being paired with blueberries who are shit.

Most people are only doing strikes for milestones or exclusive items. You will be hard pressed to find anyone that wants to spend 30 minutes on a strike killing everything, just to get nothing for their effort. There's zero incentive. Don't blame the player, blame the developers.

Are you actually demanding that an entire gaming community caters to your style of play? Jesus Chris, what's the deal with this generation?

No. I will skip Exodus trash everytime. :)
