After having some fun with Riskrunner in this week's heroic strikes, maining a warlock, and being a fan of all subclasses void, I decided to have a crack at creating my own exotic armour.
It's a chest piece, and design wise I see it looking a bit like the Voidfang Vestments from D1, but much darker (think the Taken skin effect but without the shiny element). So, I present to you the Aphotic Vestments:
Aphotic Vestments
Perks: Depthless Hunger - when using a void-based subclass, taking elemental damage grants grenade & melee energy. Incoming Void damage also grants super energy.
Choose between:
Mobility enhancement mod.
Resilience mod.
Base stats:
Mobility - 1
Resilience - 2
Recovery - 0
Lore:
"Most Warlock orders believe that we should be thoughtful, focused, scholars. That brawling is beneath us, and should be left to the Titans. What they fail to understand is that by giving ourselves wholly to the chaos of battle, we find a level of focus matched only by the silence of the void."
- Mater Lyss; The Aphotic Order
The idea is to present the player with the risk-taking of Riskrunner (the perk does not recharge the rift at all, and there's no recovery state), and a mix of the benefits of the Mask of The Quiet One mixed with Nezarec's Sin. This would probably benefit PvE more than PvP as in PvP players can switch to kinetic weapons to prevent the wearer from receiving any benefits.
