I was the #1 All-Time Ranked Player in Wisconsin for almost half of those hours too. This is my limit. I'm done, and I'm not ashamed to say so. I think I made a big enough splash in the water.
Peace.

Edited by Fenrir's Heart: 11/27/2017 10:33:43 PMSame. Xbox says I've spent 4000+ hours in D1 (time wasted says 2600+) ...but D2 feels like too radical a departure. Doesn't feel like Destiny anymore... long times to kill...static loot... no playlist choice...all too casual and pales in comparison to D1 depth.

Lol k 🙄

Edited by SickChocThunder: 11/27/2017 11:32:17 AMBefore you throw insults at this player..... He's making a statement, that a loyal committed player is leaving and has had enough. For every person making public statement, how many people are leaving who aren't on the forums.? Imagine a big tank of of water, with a visable leak, and a hole in the bottom too. Slowly and surely that water is going to run out, and the tank will be empty Not going to be worth pouring more water in is it? If D2 isn't worth continuing to evolve, the developers and accountants aren't going to pursue it. The end of the franchise. How many people are going to invest in a crap dlc or pay upfront? I won't, until I see what I'm getting The core of this game is severely damaged, and trust has been lost. Giving us something worthwhile on a repeated basis is Bungies only hope of recovering.

Go outside, make a friend, touch a boob (or balls if that’s what you’re into), walk barefoot in the grass. All these things are better than getting the vapors over a video game.
-
Who cares? There's millions or other players to play with. *turns on ps4* *turns on destiny* *looks at friends list and clan roster* Maybe you should come back. I have like no one left on my friends list that play Destiny. Literally 0 players. Coming from a clan that has been around for a long time, it's sad that this is the state of the game. People will tell you that it's the minority who complain and the majority who purchased D2 is still enjoying it. Those people are delusional. Every day I log onto my ps4 and notice that no one plays D2 anymore. People will have you believe it was this bad in D1. I've never had less than 3 people playing Destiny. With Destiny 1, I always had 10+ people playing. With D2, I started with 30-40 people playing. Two weeks go by it was 10-15. 2 more weeks go by and no one plays including on reset.
-
I'm sticking with it off and on.... When the next borderlands drops though I'm guaranteed to be gone!! Maybe even permanently... GOW is soon to release so that will also be a major break.
-
Go play The Division. New pve addition coming this winter.

Edited by Stari: 11/27/2017 10:30:53 PMSame here: Max Grimoire 5615 and 3600+ hours. Even ordered T-Shirts from The Netherlands.... Destiny 2 is boring and unrewarding. Plus no dedicated servers.

Green Bay, WI right here.

So many salty spittoons in this thread ripping on this person. Respect to you OP. I am in the same boat, but only at 1640 instead of 5000+. Also, I was among the first on Xbox to max Grimoire during House of Wolves (number 16 I think?), so I deeply loved this franchise (like I believe you did). You are not alone. The game is a shadow of it's former self, and I highly doubt we will see it again, or, at least not for another three years right before D3 launch.
-
That's just too much time to spend on any one game. Way to kill it while you were here though. I put 3k hours in and 35 lbs on for WoW. Ruined my life for quite a stretch, never again, lol.

Don't normally care for these posts but I'm in a similar boat with regards to my grimoire and interest level. I still love what this franchise *could* be, but I doubt it ever will truly blossom. Just looking at the number of hate posts in response tells me all I need to know, because they're exactly who Bungie pandered to and the game is suffering for it - filthy casuals who couldn't care less 1 way or the other. And that's why you don't pander to them. It's OK, smart even, to make your game more accessible for a wider audience but not if that means sacrificing core mechanics and content, like how they intentionally lowered the skill ceiling for PvP and simply hand out "eng game" drops just for being in a clan. When you dumb your game down like that, nobody wins. I really, really hate how gaming has gone mainstream. Back when I was kid and it was considered "nerdy" developers still actually cared about putting out quality, FINISHED products. Now it's all about scamming the masses into getting as many pre-orders as possible and teasing people with potential fixes via paid DLC.

either way you've made a good decision to leave the destiny franchise that is
