It's spin. When people exploit the game Bungie doesn't ban people in pve. They just remove it from the game. People were using an exploit during last FR where they'd run into Lost Sectors. Shoot the enemy supplies. Run back out, instantly reset the dungeon, rinse and repeat. Just like the Loot Cave of vanilla Destiny, Bungie doesn't want their game played that way. So they remove the incentive to do so. ...and they don't have to scold anyone.

  • I know that's exactly what happened, thats my point of the post. I totally agree with them making the chages to fix an "exploit." I dont agree with them being pussies and lying about the reason why...

Public relations. Doesn't pay to call your customers cheaters, if you can avoid it. Plus it lets them drop hints about how they want us to play.

  • I think it's more along the lines of it doesnt pay to call themselves desperate to inflate player hours at any cost while spinning it that theyre "doing us a favor." I dont think even stretch armstrong could get far enough to call what that crap was "cheating." It was players trying to lessen the boredom of a very poor "event." Maybe I'm a "unique" type of customer but creating a lie even a toddler could see past isn't my idea of good "relations." It makes me cringe tbh.

  • Never met a cheater without an excuse to justify what he'd done. Massive banned people from The Division for less than that. Unlike Bungie the DO ban people for using exploits.

LOL, Ok I can see now your'e one of "those." If you think you can classify going in and shooting explodables over and over as a "cheat" as if its any different than what will go on now, which is passing every single -blam!-ing explosive AND adds to kill the boss and die and repeat exactly like was being done on the explosives, you're -blam!-ing dumb little buddy. smh... If you wanna say Bungie does no wrong, just say it. But this dumb ass "reasoning" youre coming with is just that, dumb...

  • He's not "triggered", he's right. Those destroyable supplies are only there to destroy for specific events, right? They're not there all the time. That was their purpose. Why are they going to spawn now? For atmosphere? Players will always find the fastest way to receive the reward they're searching for. Destroying the supplies and then resetting the LS was not cheating; it utilized the supply spawns at the most efficient rate possible. Is it taking advantage of the way they spawn? Sure, I'll give you that. But cheating? I respectfully disagree. And the fact that we're not even playing toward a clear goal, but a pull on a slot machine? Hell yes I want the fastest way there. I can't even strive for a goal, just another pull. If I can't be given a clear path to obtaining/buying/earning the stuff I want, I want the fastest way possible to take another shot of their BS gambling RNG method because the odds are it will be more doubles and more crap. I pulled the scout rifle 7 times last FR, and I don't play near as much as some of you do. If you're going to INCREASE my grind time to get the same gun over and over again, the joke is on you as I'm just not going to participate. I've got Wolfenstein 2 and Witcher 3 and The Bioshock Collection all ready to step in (really, they already have). Players don't want MORE grind, they want a REASON to grind. In-game gambling is not a reason. Players were taking advantage of in-game mechanics because they want the fastest means to an end. THE TOKEN SYSTEM IS NOT FUN, and extending the grind to use said system is a foolish mistake.
