*AND HIS TEAM
So everyone remember Chris? That emo dude with nice shoes from House of Wolves and then Rise of Iron. Well, basically, in my opinion, he was one of the developers that started to make D1 a better game. House of Wolves was (again in my opinion) the start of the turning point for the fundamental changes D1 would go through, for the better. Sir Barrett blesses us once again. All hail the king.
New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits.
Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities.
Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors.
Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018).
Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules.
Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games).
Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards.
Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.
Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication.
New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards).
An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.
There's more we're working on. We'll talk again soon.

The only thing that can save d2 is a time machine.
-
I hate to sound like an asshole but this is all stuff that should have been in the game straight off the bat. It's not like they haven't had 3 years to work this stuff out.
-
I ran out of faith with D2. Nothing big changed in D1. Nothing big will change in D2. I assume Barrett was still working for Bungie while D2 was being made. This leaves me little reason to believe anything will change. Dlc 1 was in Dev right along side D2, so it's going to be cut from the same cloth. I need to see change. Otherwise it's just words.

Some people never learn and clutch at straws.

Empty promises.

Yeah this game sucks

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 10/27/2017 2:11:38 AMYeah, I remember. I also remember them saying a lot of things and not backing up their own words. The entire D2 is proof of that. I also remember the most selfish thing this company has ever done in this game. Them nerfing a lot of y1 and capping all of Y1 at 170 but allowed everything to work as intended in PvP. With them saying Y1 was never coming back, only to find out later in the next expansion using some of them y1 as a carrot. I remember Deej saying something about " we don't want you to look at your favorite gear etc as something being obsolete yatta yatta yatta" then Ttk came around and it was all obsolete. I also remember Bungie using gamers as an excuse on why they did cap y1, but they also removed primary elemental, and said "they wanted everything to feel the same acroos the entire board" knowing all the while their sandbox could of been doing their job. Imagine that I could go on, but Bungie says a lot of things, the problem is knowing they don't know how to back up their own words.

I won’t believe shit until I see it. -blam!- bungie
-
The above should have been implemented before D2 launched.
-
House of wolves was considered best because you can bring every freaks NG legendary to max light. Oh what's that you like fate bringer, you can use that with the etheric light but still sucked the old light system and the new one is much better. I hope d2 light infusion stays as it is and doesn't block merciless, sins of the past and dubious volley like ttk

Edited by CookieNiki: 10/28/2017 7:54:19 PMThe Taken King was the finest time of Destiny 1, period! Also I don't see anything game changing in that list that will make D2 worth of being called a sequel to D1, all that stuff should have been in the game since release.
-
So because he regurgitated what fans have been saying on the forums the last month he’s a saint? These are all things that shouldn’t have had to be said in the first place especially considering this is the sequel.
-
So there gonna add stuff that should've been in the game on day 1 No timetable for when any of its coming out besides pms alot of these stuff will be behind a paywall why are we praising them again?
-
Far too little far too late
-
Get to work Barrett!
-
Someone got their knee pads and lip balm ready didn’t they?
-
So basically going to put in what they took out. I think bungie is run by the govt. Complete cluster fu@$!
-
I see another 20 dollar dlc in the mist
-
He's the guy that makes Destiny 1, the other team somehow made Destiny unfun lol.
-
Desticles are so easy to please. No wonder the game is never improving. The guy is cool, i agree. But how can you still believe whatever Bungie says? All they're doing is trying to cover their failures. Lies and promises is their only savior. Notice how they didn't mention any eta on the new features? Maybe its for the end of 2018, or you need to purchase a dlc for them to fix their mess...
-
Ok I just can’t at the moment. Maybe you weren’t around for launch. Maybe you didn’t see the forums burn when wolves came out. There where welcome changes but also an incredibly ridiculous paywall. Basically dark below and wolves robbed every single season pass holder. They opened up paywall content that was alrdy on disc. Gave us things that was promised during alpha. And you want to praise the guy that ripped us off? Expect the patches that this team brings to be “dlc” and expect to pay up $15 for content and changes that could be added in hot fixes. These ppl know exactly what they are doing, it’s called pulling the wool over our eyes. Release an incomplete game for full price to start a frenzy, then “fix” it for an additional fee.
-
I’ll believe it when I see it. All of this stuff should have been a no brainer and there at launch.
-
It sounds promising. Its just so vague though. What exactly are they changing?
-
I’ll take a wait and see approach. My god the rush to throw praise at Bungie without them doing anything other than putting together a simple list. All the sycophant streamers are also predictably promoting and effusively praising Bungie as well. Gotta keep that paper flowing in. Show me the fixes first before I remotely provide praise for anything. bungie burned that bridge long ago. You now need to earn it with solid and well designed action.
-
Yer all this stuff will come with the next dlc no suprises there would have been nice if sum of this stuff was already in game
-
How am I supposed to care about someone who worked on Rise of Iron if Bungie didn’t even care enough to simply reference Rise of Iron in their own game?
