If by competitive you mean Pro Gaming competitive, then yeah you're right. On the flip side, within the community Destiny 1 was extremely competitive, both in PvE and PvP. Granted your opinion was about as empty and half-assed as this game was, so no one's going to understand what the fk you meant.

There's no rankings. No leaderboards. Every match may as well be totally anonymous. Not competitive in the least.
-
I'm sorry if Call of Duty has confused your understanding of the term competitive, but ranked =\= competitive.
-
That's precisely what competitive means. Competitive = competition. What competition is there in destiny?
-
trying to win is generally a competitive action as well as trying to be top of the scoreboard at the end of the game. those are two thing that happen all the time.
-
So any game with "PvP" is now "competitive". No. Destiny is a coop, shooter rpg first. PvP should be secondary. This isn't some real competitive game like overwatch, or rainbow six or whatever other game is built primarily for competition.

"competitve" is up to how much effort you want to put into it and how much importance a community puts on the pvp. If you use that word to mean games like LoL, DotA or Overwatch then you're really being specific with a term that has a wider use. Trials in D1 was pretty competitive but it wasn't to the point of being a competitive sport.
