Respawning and Fireteams.
On small maps and even some of the larger ones, a pre-made fireteam with any communication can abuse their opponents spawns, absolutely ruining the PvP experience for solo matchmade players.
The worst scenario is game modes like control where you can't play the objective to win, without giving the enemy information on your location. There are only a few bad cases, but they are major: being spawn trapped at the same location or control point, within sight of a team fight only to die, and lastly often inside enemy radar distance. In each of those instances, your opponents will know where you or your team just spawned and be able to play off that advantage.
The spawn points wouldn't be such an issue if the teams were properly balanced, but the fact is Bungie won't separate pre-made teams from matchmade ones.
This gives 4 player groups a huge unfair advantage, posing a significant threat to solo players, and to the longevity of regular crucible and competitive events like Iron Banner.
Eventually nobody is going to want to solo queue with high odds of losing to a pre-made team, and no one will want to be forced to play in groups to win. This was not a problem in D1 because of six player teams and complex map design, you could potentially outplay your opponents. As such, regular crucible was much more casual and forgiving on solo players, without losing its competitive nature. This is the complete opposite, small team size and super small maps of D2 make it almost impossible for randoms to compete, defeating the purpose of matchmaking, and removing all fun out of pvp.
It appears trials is the only truly balanced competitive mode because of equal spawns and player groups. So plz Bungie, fix your game.
PS. Bring back more D1 maps.

I hope the creators kill themselves.
