This is another point of feedback I am seeing a lot of. I'll make sure the team sees this and knows that you would like to see some RNG in the weapon rolls again.
Personally, I never enjoyed having to level up a gun to unlock its perks. But appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Im someone who would play 6-8 a day, but theres no reason to now. But i have to agree with this statement, in the full knowledge that we are the 2% and we are not going to be catered to, it doesnt make good business sense. Thats why i just cant see myself playing anymore, maybe bungie are happy to sacrifice the 2% to keep the rest happy, just makes me sad cause i know it was the 2% that kept this game alive.
-
Thing is though, that 2% is massively important to bungie. They're the guys that stream. They're the guys that keep this game high on the Twitch listings. Without those guys, the game would barely feature on there and that's a huge amount of lost free advertising.

Edited by ExelArts: 9/27/2017 12:58:22 AMTurn legendary Perks into mods, that way we can MOD our weapons and armor the way we want make then not so grindy that way we can all have god rolls instead of a few

Don't let the crazy people dictate the way the game plays. I'm sure if you asked anyone sane they'd prefer static rolls.
Don't let the crazy people dictate the way the game plays. I'm sure if you asked anyone sane they'd prefer static rolls.
Nope, I hate duplicate rolls...
-
False. Unless they add TONS of guns everyone will hit the wall of repeat gears nonstop soon.
-
I think I am pretty sane, and I prefer the random rolls, unless they just add weapon diversity a separate way. Just take those couple of weapons (MIDA, Uriel's Gift, Prosecutor, etc) out of the meta and we may have a fix
-
The reason people want weapon rolls, is variation more legendary weapons is just as good as variable rolls. People just want more to hunt for.

Personally I love the more casual feeling
-
Nope, i can tell you its very definetly rollable weapons and not a tonne more mediocre static weapons that i want. Im very certain of that.
Nope, i can tell you its very definetly rollable weapons and not a tonne more mediocre static weapons that i want. Im very certain of that.
You also said you play 6 to 8 hours a day or would want to. You're not the kind of person the game should cater to. If they did it pushes off we way too many other people. Right now a casual player can get up to being raid ready. They can do trials. That's millions of people that can play in game content could not do so in Destiny 1
-
I understand that. Ive said it in other posts, i dont expect to be catered to, but i have every right to voice my opinions and concerns and what id like to see change. What else am i going to do? Walk away from a company and game thats been apart of my life for sixteen years without telling them why? That isnt what bungie would want, like any creator they want to know what people like and what they dont so that they can create better in the future.

I want to feel special and have an advantage over other guardians. That's why I grind. My favorite weapons in D1 were unique legendaries that others envied. Taking away that carrot has made the game feel a lot like all the other FPS 's.
-
May aswell have bought cod. Boring generic weapons and useless abilities.
-
Please god no!! The static rolls are a good change!! It makes each gun feel unique.
-
Please god no!! The static rolls are a good change!! It makes each gun feel unique.
Unique in that they're all identical? lol
-
Exactly my point as well. Weapons in the same archetype were all basically the same guns, since everyone went for the same perks anyway. Plus there were plenty of perks that sucked out loud.

Edited by deljhpFOREVER: 9/27/2017 12:13:53 AMMore randomisation, or a LOT more new and interesting weapons and armour are needed and soon. If not Destiny will tail spin into an end game drought and a lot of the grinders will bail. Just saying.
-
Don't make sure the team sees this, make them discuss it thoroughly please. It's a big factor in grinding and needs serious thought, not just a glance over, thanks.
-
I love not having to level weapons. I HATE not having random rolls. I know all those guys on the dev team want their PvP to be MLG big time stuff but sorry...its not going to. Bring the fun back to it. Balance weapons separately for pve and PvP and you will be able to reel the balance in on random rolled weapons enough to make a reasonably balanced PvP that can still be fun. Also unnerf sniper flinch...seriosily. It's a power weapon now and still nerfed as hard as in D1. It's like somebody on the team is still buthurt he never learned to slide or jump around corners.

4000+ hrs of d1 cozmo, i love bungie, was one of destinys most ardent defenders, brought more customers to this franchise than deej ever has. I dont want to dislike this game i want to spend hours in the awesome worlds youve created, currently this is a massive sticking point for me, to the point where im finding it impossible to get excited to play at all. Something has to change, and pretty quickly before i lose all faith and interest that i have.
-
In my opinion. "Rolls" should come in mods, some extremely rare depending on the usability. Make them first column mods, second column, etc. Let us chase and farm these mods, and collect components alongside them, giving us reasons to kill a couple of dregs for certain parts, or harpies to make that fusion rifle accelerated coil work. We have so many slots for farmables, yet they're under used. Give us a reason to grind man.
-
Mods are currently terrible. At first i was like, ah mods i see, ill be able to save and customize my gear to my game play. Then i realized all they do is enhance weapon handling or something else worthless. Where is reload speed, charge rates, firefly etc. Sure itd be a balance nightmare, but finding mods to make weapons how you want.
-
It wouldn't be if pvp and pve were separate. And it is already done in game certain ghosts have perks that only effect pvp. Make the gun have perks that are only available for pvp, you can have whichever perk you want for pve but in pvp the guns are the same now you can balance and still give a desire to chase god roll. At least for pve They could just make each gun with specific rolls not really random but each gun could be different. They could still balance it because each roll is not rng it is controlled, but it is rng which roll you get. Just feels like dev team took easy way out to fix problems in d1.

I'd love to be able to stick explosive rounds on a high RoF auto or pulse.
