This is another point of feedback I am seeing a lot of. I'll make sure the team sees this and knows that you would like to see some RNG in the weapon rolls again.
Personally, I never enjoyed having to level up a gun to unlock its perks. But appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Glad to hear you already have the guns you want. I am still chasing a few myself.
Glad to hear you already have the guns you want. I am still chasing a few myself.
Guns are weak, don't really want any of them. They're basically missing a perk tree, in D1 they'd be blues....

Rng perk rolls pretty please.
-
That will ruin the game. They do this I am asking for my money back

I think static rolls with one rotating perk set in the final slot is the best of both worlds. (Think Trials of Osiris D1 yr2)
-
So like when everyone wanted doctrine of passing with counterbalance?
-
Yeah but one with HH or Rodeo was still competitive.
-
That sounds lika a fair comprimise.

instead of rng perks, perhaps having the ability to install a perk in the shape of a mod... Make us have to build these mods by extracting them from dismantled weapons. Like to get a high caliber rounds perk, you need to dismantle 5 weapons that had high caliber rounds. Then we can apply or overwrite the perks to a bare frame of the weapon that we have at the gunsmith for legendary shards. I'm fine with static roll drops if we can have a way to adapt them after we get them. Otherwise its just scrapping everything you get once you hit higher power levels. Also, if you could increase the space for mods on the characters, I keep getting mods sent to the post master.

They never said they hated to level a gun to unlock the perks. They said they just wanted random rolls again. I think it's great we don't have to level the guns up anymore.
-
Nah I'm good with static rolls. Please leave it.
-
Please o please fûccking leave it

Random perks with a better mod system. Preferably one that follows through on what the descriptions for weapon traits and mods in the detail screen seem to imply.

I prefer the static rolls. Makes each weapon truly unique and it allows you guys to have an easier time with weapon balance because you can't roll a godlike anomaly that had a tendency to break normal weapon class restrictions. I've seen much more variety in weapons being wielded by guardians, instead of having a defacto standard, like grinding for a high range, non-standard archetype hand cannon. If anything, I'd just prefer even more static weapons, enough to put variety for any archetype a player wants. But more importantly, rather than wasting time trying to revamp a weapon roll system that will inevitably cause you folks to start weapon tuning everything again, just focus on putting more content in game, or improving an experience like lost sectors. Quality, fun, and ever changing endgame will keep players playing better than just grinding for random gun rolls.
-
That would be nice if there was alot more weapons to choose from....
-
It just added more stuff to do I liked having different guns with different stuff compared to other people now we all just use the mida. I miss grinding to try and eat he perfect roll for certain guns

No perks on armor, especially the raid armor is very disappointing. Not sure why that was considered a good idea.
-
Yeah raid armor should have perks to make the raid a little easier. Loved that about D1
-
Leveling up the gun was kinda pointless and a waste of time. I cant say much about rng on the rolls, it did keep the playerbase coming back for more. I never enjoyed it as much. I think theres alot more to do now than just grind a weapon roll.

A suggestion: infusing a weapon with the same weapon randomizes the perks. For example infusing an Origin Story with another Origin Story will result with random perks.
-
No, then leveling light would ruin a gun you like.
-
Only if you leveled it with another Origin Story. Leveling with a different higher power auto rifle wouldn't touch the perks.
