The gunplay made playing enjoyable but the hunt for the perfect rolled weapon gave purpose to playing. Every time I got an eyasluna there was hope that it would be the one I was playing for. Now I get a better devils and instantly delete it because it's the exact same thing as the last 30 that I've gotten.
There's no carrot at the end of the stick. There's not even a stick just the same carrot that you get handed over and over again.

yeah. but its a small accent for me. I played endless halo and you didn't get anything for it. I just enjoy playing it. Destiny, I enjoy the world and the gunplay is perfect. That truly is enough for what I care about. I like finding cool loot, but D1 loot actually got in the way of enjoyment of pvp specifically (pve was fine) that is why I'd vote for keeping static perks but bringing back tier 12 style system for rolls. Destiny 1 god rolls weren't weapons that had "cool" and "interesting" perks... they were boring perks that simply removed the guns DESIGNED weakness. I hated that. So I suppose I'd be cool with rolled perks if they didn't have perks that instantly negated a guns weakness. go for unique over buff the stat that was intentionally worse to keep the gun balanced.
