Hi, some of you might remember me from 3 years ago (probably not), in which I had the highest trending post for almost a month at the release of Destiny. I went over how Destiny needed beards, but more importantly a more robust customization system for our characters and almost everyone agreed with me, and there was even a great discussion of cosmetic features for the races, such as the holobeard for exos... real neat stuff. But here we are, three years later and Destiny 2 is out. Surely they'd manage to mildly increase the ability to customize our characters...? Nah its the literal exact same thing as Destiny nothing new, at all.
You'd assume with wanting to please many of the people who were turned off by the first game that the literal easiest thing to do to make a good impression is model some interesting new cosmetic features for the character we're supposed to get attached to for the next ten years we're supposed to be playing this game, yeah?
It just leaves a real negative taste in my mouth that they'd not even do so little as to let us make a decent looking human or space elf or make discount Chappie look interesting. Its just lazy. I could continue on about how robust customization aids immersion and subconsciously makes the player more attached to the story, but the devote player base doesn't care because "you're wearing a helmet who cares" despite being forced to take it off in cutscenes. And Bungie/Activision obviously doesn't care enough to please anyone aside from people dumb enough to actually defend the decision to reuse the exact same system as the first.

This is my one major complaint. We can't edit existing players. No haircut or removal of features? Love the game anyway but would really like to see some options for existing guardians
