"Where is circus.." Professor BraveCole the Titan pondered at his desk. He was alone in his classroom, as he stared down diligently at a crossword puzzle.
"C..C..C.." He repeated, running his pencil along the lines of jumbled up letters. "C...C...Circus...Circus...Aha! Wait. No. Sigh.." BraveCole closed the book of crossword puzzles and thought to himself. Where are my kinderguardians..
"They went out for Crucible-Recess, hon." Becky, his ghost, said to him as she appeared from thin air.
"Er, what?" BraveCole asked his mechanical companion.
"You were wondering where your students went and I answered it. Mental synopsis, Brave. I can tell what you are thinking, hehe." Becky chortled.
"Don't do that." Brave said flatly. Before he knew it, one of his kinderguardians, Dawn The Titan, came rushing in the door.
"Dawn!" BraveCole shouted with a little excitement in his voice. "Ahem, er. Dawn. How's it going, tyke?"
"Professor! Professor! Look it! Look what I learned today!" Dawn yelled, giddy as can be as she approached BraveCole's desk. "Hrrmm!" She grunted, thrusting her shoulder outward as a large, white, transparent wall was created from her gesture. She giggled.
"I made a wall! See! Look! Hehe, it's a wall!"
"Wow, Dawn. That's actually a very impressive feat, using your light to create protective barriers. I'm sure you'd be useful on any Fireteam! I'm so proud of you!" Becky praised as Dawn jumped up and down, clapping her hands.
"Yay!"
BraveCole sat and judged the smaller titan, more intrigued by how she was able to pull of such an ability. It took me years to aquire the knowledge to learn that technique.. And here's she's done it like it's as simple as 1, 2, 3.
"Maybe she's just a quick learner." Becky said, turning to her guardian.
"Becky, I'm gonna need you to -blam!- off." BraveCole said as politely as possible, if saying that phrase was possible to say politely.
"Professor!" Another young voice shouted. It was the voice of Ventis the Warlock, running in just as excited as Dawn. "I've been watching Dawn rather closely as she summons her Ward of Dawns, and I think I've manage to replicate the healing and defensive properties of it! Behold!" Ventis then casted forth a small swirling rift upon the ground, and Dawn jumped in it.
"This feels just like my Ward! E-Except without the um.. Ward. This is great! Ventis, you're sooo cool!" Dawn turned to her warlock friend and embraced him in a rather violent hug. You could hear the poor warlock's bones crack a bit.
CRCCKK!
"URGHH! T-Thank you, Dawn but I swear, I can do without physical contact..!"
"Aww! That's adorable! They can combine both of their abilities together!" Becky said, observing the smaller guardians.
BraveCole sat silently again, even more intrigued. And here's the little warlock performing an ability that I've only seen veteran warlocks do. These kids are true prodigies... Becky get out of my head get out of my head get out of my head lalalalalalalaalalalalalala
"Hm? I'm sorry, what was that, Brave? Wasn't paying attention." Becky stated.
"Liar."
"Guys! Guys, look!" And last but not least, the voice of little RJ the Hunter was heard as he bolted in the classrom. "Hehe, look what I can do.." He said, a bit of smugness in his voice. He then pulled out a hand-cannon, fired all the shots in the ceiling as the rest swore they heard screaming afterward. "No rounds, right? Watch and learn!"
RJ then pathetically jumped to the side. He opened up the handcannon's cylinder. "Ha! Look! Fully loaded! Cool, right?"
"..."
"..."
"..."
"...RJ, what the -blam!- was that?" BraveCole spat.
"It was a thing I learned.."
"You mean hopping to the side and reloading your weapon..?" Becky asked.
"It isn't that simple! It takes skill!" RJ pouted. Ventis approached him.
"RJ.. Your.. Move doesn't really help out your Fireteam members. Dawn and I can combine our abilities to make each other stronger but yours.." Ventis sighed. "Yours only helps you."
Tears started to well in Dawn's eyes. "I-I thought you w-were my friend.. R-RJ! H-How could you do this.." Dawn sobbed, before bursting into tears and running out the door. "WAAAAAAAAAH!"
"Sigh. Great. Dawn!" Ventis shouted, running after her. "Dawn, come back!"
All who was left in the classroom was Becky, Brave, and little RJ.
"Am I.. A bad Fireteam member, professor..?" RJ asked, sadness in his voice.
"Could be." BraveCole said, shrugging. His ghost flew herself into his head, bonking him.
"Brave!" She scowled.
"Ouch! Okay, okay. RJ.." He addressed the young guardian. He walked over to him, picking him up by his cloak as Brave put his free hand on his own hip. "You're a hunter. You uh.. You're a lone wolf. You don't need no stinkin' Fireteam to define you. You do what you need to do, and you do it very well. You're the gears in the big Fireteam machine. Your purpose doesn't get noticed until ya stop working. So, since I tolerate you, I'll help you perfect your queer little dance move. Er, dodge roll."
"Wow, Professor. You really mean that?"
"I don't remember me stuttering so I would assume so." Brave said, dropping RJ onto the ground. Becky floated near him.
"I know Brave has a really harsh attitude but he cares about you, RJ. Hehe, he's actually kinda excited, he's thinking of all the training you two will do together!"
"BECKY!" BraveCole yelled. "Would you stop..! That's it. You brought this upon yourself." He crossed his arms and stared at his ghost.
"Brought what- OH DEAR GOD! BRAVECOLE, WHAT THE HELL!? WHY ARE YOU THINKING THAT!? THAT'S.. DISGUSTING!"
"Ha, think that's bad!? Watch what they do with the cup."
"No, stop it, please no mo- OH SWEET TRAVELER! WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE PRE-GOLDEN AGE WORLD!? NO ONE SHOULD WILLINGLY INJEST BODILY FLUIDS! I'M PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE OF PUKING BUT I FEEL SICK..!" Becky cried, making gagging noises as she flew out of the classroom.
"Hehe. That'll show her to read my mind. Anyway, RJ, pal.."
"Let's get on with your training."
