Forgetting this and moving on. It is a "beta" in which all the levels when you die suggest a much higher light level that is unlockable at the moment, So I think all of the "bullet sponge" and "weak in pve" comments on this entire forum are a waste of time in that respect. That and none of the equipment picked up so far has higher anything levels either, so it probably is safe to say the level at which supers and grenades and melees recharge either needs to be adjusted by bungie to be more futuristically accurate for better results or they can just throw sub par tootsie rolls and everyone can act like a pinata just exploded every time a dlc comes out.
That being said it should make no real difference in PVP, especially if everyone of every skill level is forced into the same everything level and character makup wise, which I guess is why the entire beta focuses on Crucible. But all the weapons and levels suck there too so........Meh!
the entire beta focuses on Crucible.
There are two Crucible maps and two game types. And there is one story mission and one strike. The Beta itself focuses on neither game type more than the other. It's the player that focuses more on one than the other. However, not everyone focuses on the same thing.

I know, I shouldn't be upset, because they do need to test only one of everything to make sure it works. Bring on the test raid, we got this! lol. The "story mission" is a playable cut scene at best, resembling a CGI Resident Evil movie in which I constantly hold my remote expecting to need to make the characters do something. And the strike is unrepeatable seeing as how it's recycled Nexus with newly skinned outsides, all be it exciting to see things move and shake for once. And yes, the Osiris lords have descended upon the new four player extermination formats in droves, so crucible is as usual. I'm just secretly hopping the constant updates on a weekly basis they keep talking about are not recycled area strikes, or pay for packages of pvp maps, but actual new strikes that bring back that initial "holy crap the floor disappeared" moment from this initial one. Plus I guess I'm just an old fashioned gamer that appreciates people finishing something, then releasing it, as opposed to constantly apologizing to everyone, and canceling 3/4 of everything, then boxing it up four years later after changing a few colors, and calling it a giant number 2.
