Sounds like a good thing to me...
Plus, our chars in D1 have gear & perks that increase super gain. Is it possible you're comparing it to what you're "used to" and not when your char was brand new in D1?
Not hating on you for your opinion, just curious your thoughts. I personally felt super generation was getting a bit ridiculous in general and am glad to see that toned a bit.

Yes, but that is what destiny is about. It isn't CoD, but it's turning into CoD. If you just want straight gunfights there are many other games that do it much better than destiny.

Well, I think you might be missing part of the context of my post. If a person is comparing their BETA char to their 400 light level char with exotic armor, gear, and ALL perk trees/options unlocked...isn't it possible it's a faulty comparison? Also, as someone that has played and still does play MANY FPS's, i'm pretty sure there's a LOT more you'd have to do to Destiny to liken it to CoD. If they added a vehicle in Destiny PVP would you then start saying, "ugh, if you want Battlefield, go play Battlefield" ?? Seems like a rather faulty stance when it's clear that supers alone are not the separation between this game and CoD.

Yes this is a beta, there is only a tiny fraction of the whole game, so we can't make too many assumptions yet. However, my opinion is that abilities and supers is what makes destiny stand out among the other fps games we have today. That's why trickle was such a hated modifier. Without abilities destiny is just like any other fps on the market. Removing them takes away from what destiny should be.

I agree with your last sentence a great deal. I'm just not sure I feel it's as dire as you portray it. I don't feel abilities have been "taken away" per se. I think it's more of a focus towards more gunplay, as a large part of the community did feel there was too MUCH focus on abilities in D1. For better or worse, i'm sure we'll see a lot of balance passes in general =)

This. Right. Here.

I think most are forgetting this...
