I'm confused as to why Bungie would spend money and valuable employee time to build a soccer field in the social hub. Last time I checked I bought Destiny to shoot and loot, not to play soccer.
So let me guess, the soccer field was placed in the hub to compensate for all the downtime that guardians are going to face? Maybe to fight the content drought boss?
To me it seems like Bungie is already preparing for players to get bored. And the game hasn't even launched yet.
Like really Bungie? Why not put more time and money into more playable areas.. and less soccer?
Oh and beyond that, why does the hub have to be an instance.. why cant I just phase into it when I walk through the gates from the EDZ?

... your LFM request to get hits ... your 6th raid member to get back from the bathroom ... that one guy with the accent to finish up his 5th smoke break ... that dude to finish arguing with his girlfriend ... the under-prepared dad who is trying to tame his screaming kids ... etc, etc. Sometimes you just gotta have something silly to pass the time. I WOULD suggest PvP, but hey, no more 6v6's, so forget playing matches with your raid party if you have more than 4 people in the group. Bam. Soccer field to the rescue.
