So, as we all know, the new Strike Inverted Spire features a character called Failsafe, an AI, and a new planet called Nessus. However, this s not the first time we have ever heard of Nessus!
From Ghost Fragment Cayde-6:
> CENTAUR PLANETOID "7066 NESSUS" RE-ENTERS SYSTEM AFTER UNEXPLAINED DELAY. RELAT~XXX
?> did we get invaded by horse people
> SORRY, I D~XXX
?> did horse people ever exist
CENTAURS! HORSE PEOPLE!
Also, Failsafe says MY PLANET, so we can confirm that Failsafe is native to Nessus.
Another thing is in the fact that Nessus also has an area name of: Unstable Centaur!
Finally, the card also mentions Io!
> SINCE THE TRAVELER'S FINAL EXODUS FROM IO PRIOR TO THE COLLAPSE, ECHO MESA HAS BEEN A POPULAR PILGRIMAGE DESTINATION FOR GUARDIANS. AS THE TRAVELER'S TRANSFORMATION OF THE JOVIAN MOON WAS INCOMPLETE, IO'S CLIMATE AND GEOGRAPHY DO NOT SUPPORT AGRICULTURE IN THE CONVENTIONAL SENSE. VANGUARD COMMANDER ZAVALA THEREFORE RECOMM~XXX
Echo Mesa is likely the new Area we will explore! But we also hear Io in Legends 2!
The Nine are the firstborn Awoken and their minds now race down the field lines of the Jupiter-Io flux tube.
That's right. The Nine are on Io. Ikora is on Io. Therefore, Ikora is part of the Nine.
DO you not see what this all means! It means that Failsafe is secretly a Hidden Gaurdian who is currently planning to assassinate Ikora, and take her mantle as Warlock Vanguard. Cayde is also stuck on Nessus, so Failsafe has put him in a trap in which we must save him from in order to help us save Ikora. You might be wondering, where does Titan come into all of this? Well, Titans are the parents of Gods in Greek mythology, and the Vex are based off Greek Mythology. So therefore, Titan will have Vex. Where else do we see Titans and Vex near each other? IN THE VAULT OF GLASS! So we have to go into the Vault of Glass and go back in time to save Ikora from Failsafe, and then assassinate Ghaul, who is actually half-horse, half-Nine, half Cabal, and half-Gary. THat's right. Gary is Ghaul's split personality!
HOW DID WE NOT SEE THIS!
Edit: I think some people don't realize this was satirical...
