Crota pre-390 was, by most players' standards, not really a raid. It could be solo-ed, flawless, start to finish. Usually by abusing poor mechanics and map design to cheese it.
Even done legit it was never really that difficult.
So while you're right, it's still a raid and done legit it still counts...

Only if done legit with a 6 man team, yes. But solos or even 2 mans no.
